Whats that robot bottom right?
So how was Battle Skipper, their last anime made?
>>10823214
That is a Grab from Mospeada.
>>10823221
It's a legend, No one's actually seen it.
>>10823221
Their last anime was Gall Force: The Revolution, completed just months before the studio folded.

I haven't.

I often say that Artmic were my favourite anime studio, and if Gall Force: The Revolution was anything to go by, it's good that they died before making anything else like that.
>>10823246 looks absolutely hideous. It's much better to remember them as the guys who made Bubblegum Crisis and proper Gall Force.
It's no coincidence that the trash that is the Bubblegum Crisis 2040 reboot is Pioneer/AIC crap with no Artmic involvement.
Come to think of it, if Gainax had died after End of Evangelion, we'd remember them with nothing but fondness for stuff like Nadia and Gunbuster, instead of cursing them for ugly, lazy-looking shit such as Diebuster.
>>10823388
2040 has its own appeal that can't really compare to the original series.
As for Revolution, even though the character redesigns seem jarring compared to Sonoda's originals, the story is still interesting.

Thanks for pointing Cassharn out to me.
Love me some of those old robot designs.

The Crisis B-Club artbook is in bakabt.
For the Crash one, look in the archives for the generals we had last year. Some anon took the scans I posted there and compiled them all along with pdf's of the RPG books.

You are a fucking saint! I use to own the Artmic book. Unfortunately, I look ALL of my books and some other shit in Hurricane Sandy. I'd thought I'd never see this again.
>>10840191
There are other artbooks, but they're rare to find these days. They used to give some of this stuff on Yahoo auctions.

Well many of the newer stuff I was able to replace. Stuff like Kanamemo, Lucky Star, Kannagi. Moe stuff basically.
The stuff I wasn't able to replace was the mecha stuff. I was able to find a copy of the 2006 Makoto Kobayashi book at least.
I'm looking for cans of these:
-The New Type 100% books for Zeta Gundam
-The 2007 Makoto Kobayashi book Hyper Weapon.
-This Iczer One mook.
The Zeta Gundam book I'm talking about.
I also use to have the Shoji Kawamori Macross book and the Yutaka Izubuchi design book but I've found scans of those so it's cool.
And yeah, other people lost WAY more than me so that's why I didn't get upset about it.

>actually implying that Diebuster didn't have a lot of effort put into it visually
Are you reverse-trolling GB fans here? Opinions on story and style are one thing, but you're objectively wrong about this. Hell, Gunbuster's final battle was a slide-show.
>>10846050
Wasn't it stated by the artist that the mech in that anime is the military prototype to the K-11 from Bubblegum crisis?
>>10850697
Or was it the K-12?
>>10850697
The K-11 is initially a military weapon later given to the AD Police. As such, it more closely resembles the Madox-01.
>>10850709
The K-12 is built specifically for the AD Police.
>>10850697
Long story short, yes, all the K-series suits in BGC trace their development back to the MADOX.
>>10852641
>resembles the Madox-01
nah, more like its sister project, the sledgehammer
>>10852917
Compared to the K-12 it looks more like Madox, especially the upper body.
>the sledgehammer
I don't know. The head is an obvious deviation. The color scheme is spot-on, though.
>>10846050
This was sooo much fun.

Huh, didn't realize Dangaioh was Artmic.
Those gals are absolutely great though.
>>10823324
How was Crash, seriously? Seems over the years ppl deride it as being shit compared to 2032; I love the art/animation style... its like from Double Vision on, they perfected the look they were gunning for.
>>10867425
It's really not all that bad as is. It just seems that way to some because 2032 is so incredibly awesome.
It's especially a nice followup if you've already seen everything else (BGC, AD Police, 2040, etc).
>>10867283
One of their many coproductions with AIC. Thinking about it, almost everything made by ARTMIC was co-produced with AIC except Mospeada.
>>10867425
I dig the designs, especially the new hardsuits and the Illegal Army's mecha suits.
>>10867618
Mospeada and Casshan were co-produced with Tatsunoko.
>>10842086

What do you mean? New Era closes the story.
>>10881522
In how everything is repeating itself, probably in a literal way. New Era ties in everything in the saga, but the Galls never get true closure.
>>10881522
>>10882100
I would prefer if the original continuation had ended with Earth Chapter, but I can understand the message of historical repetition which New Era implies.
That's one thing I like about Revolution:it has a happy, conclusive ending.
>>10882191
>spoiler
Completely agree. It brings needed closure to the saga, regardless of whether it was or not supposed to be part of the same continuity.
I personally like to think The Revolution's events are spawned from New Era, with the Solnoids first beating GORN/Paranoids and then applying the Executive Committee to prevent more galactic holocausts.
>>10882202
>The Revolution's events are spawned from New Era, with the Solnoids first beating GORN/Paranoids and then applying the Executive Committee to prevent more galactic holocausts.
I like how you think.
This was also a nice sendoff for Artmic. I suppose it was their way of thanking the fans of their many works over the years.
