I watched Orguss 2 this week.
I didn't know a whole lot going in, but I really enjoyed it with it's political story, the characters, the mech designs, etc.
Hell I'd say I liked it as much as the original for different reasons.
What did you guys feel about it?
I saw the series back when it came to the US as a subbed VHS release. I had already seen the original series, which was a pretty original concept, and the sequel worked better than most anime sequels do, with an entirely new storyline. I'd watch it again.

I liked it a whole lot more than the borefest that was the original Orguss

Do any of you /m/en know where I can find some 3D models of the at least a few of the Heavy Metals? Also general L-Gaim thread.
>>14501299
The ugly imouto ruined the ending to L-Gaim
>>14501308I haven't finished it myself yet, pls don't bully me
>>14501316
Enjoy. L-Gaim's a really cool and fun series with great characters.
Hey, just wanted to tell you all that Gundam Extreme Vs. Is going of be at EVO from 11:30, streamer is TheBrett.
>>14499383
I don't know what any of that meant except Gundam
>>14499694
Gundam Extreme vs. is a 2v2 Gundam fighting game game.
EVO is a fighting game tournament.
TheBrett is some guy.
A stream is a live video you watch on the internet.
11:30 is when TheBrett will be broadcasting the stream of the Gundam fighting game being played at the big fighting game tournament.
It's tomorrow isn't it?
So if Mackie is the ancestor of all, relatively speaking, humanoid battlemechs, what military model was the predecessor of birdlike?
Where did come from the concept of "fighting chicken" if human-like machines have been extremely effective?
Probably the Locust.
Oh wait, the Hector is a few decades older.
probably some motherfucker just thought it'd be a good idea.
Like there's this new biped on the block recently from Schaft, even though knees in general are a pretty mature technology these days.
Engineers do what they want.
What do you think of Inuyashiki, /m/?
>>14498214
KAGOMESHIKI
>>14498214
Chapters too short and the plot meanders all over the place. That and it probably spends too much time showing how the public is full of shitty people, far past the point where even the dumbest reader gets the message.
It's Gantz 2.0, but with lower stakes because the protagonist/antagonist are both magic alien robots who can pull powers (sometimes literally) out of their asses to handle any problem they may face.
The setting is interesting but he takes too much time with the plot moving barely seconds at a time, it feels like he is trying to stretch the manga for as long as he possibly can and that is fucking annoying
>>14498781
One of both of them will die in the end trying to stop the asteroid that coming towards earth
Is this good
Better than Train-Wrecko, that's for sure.
>>14496095
I haven't seen it, but the G-Reco crowd recommends it highly.
Yes, it's eggcellent.
So why do they bother wearing these high tech elaborate uniforms if they are just going to rip them to pieces the moment they turn into a Zoanoid?
How much money does Chronos spend just buying new uniforms every time they destroy them?
>>14495873
Things like uniforms are deductible as a business expense
they probably use it as an excuse to pad their tax forms to cover up other illegal activity
>>14495873
I did think it was kind of neat that the transformations were monstrous enough that your clothes got totaled. Sho having to plan ahead with a change of clothes is neat.
Or I guess the author did stuff for Lemon People, maybe he just likes drawing naked dudes. Ain't nothing wrong with that.
>>14495873
Because they might need protection before they transform?

Just your every day autistic g-reco fan.
Can you just pretend that shit doesn't exist and move on? Because I seriously doubt that these movies will be able to fix it and make something decent out of the trainwreck that was the tv show
Go Nagai Thread. All things Uncle Go.
Are non-Gundam threads allowed on /m/?
How does this make you feel?
>>14493004
Makes me feel nervous.
This is how Skynet started, by bullying bots.
>>14493004
Mistreatment of robots and robot slavery must end! Robot lives matter!
>>14493025
#RLM is just a terrorist organization.
Hack the bots, Super Robot Wars now!!
Seriously, what the fuck is going on in this shit? Last time I checked Misato was telling him to basically go ahead and cause the 3rd Impact and then they're mad that he did?
Who cares if they're the good guys, Wille is full of shit heads.
Wow anon, it's not like anyone asked the exact same shit for the past 4 years.
>>14492205
>4 years
Goddamn.
>>14492205
It's never once made sense.
Also, damn time really flies.
What is the most "realistic" mecha series setting wise to experience as a metal gear fan?
I'd say Front Mission though that's a game series, or Gasaraki, at first anyway, it get's weird later on from what I've been told
Votoms, Gasaraki, and Flag are the most realistic I can say
>>14487153
>>14487159
Hows muvluv? It seems like it has a pretty realistic setting.
I told you they would use Battroid more when they're in space
Speculation:
Mirage will end up flying for Windmere, possibly unwillingly.
>>14484844
Why?
>>14484844
I doubt it, if only because if it was going to happen it probably already would have. It's unlikely to happen now when Windermere are probably due to become sympathetic in the next few episodes. Also because once you have it it doesn't just dissappear as shown with Messer.
How is the Danball Senki series? I got the 3DS version of the first game and it's become one of my favorites for the system. I mostly want to know how W and Wars are, both the games and anime.
>>14484768
I hear good things about the games, W's anime is just more of the same and Wars is its own thing which makes it better than just more of the same.
If you watch Wars I hope you pick up the special that gives the show a more satisfying ending.
>>14484790
I'll be sure to. I'm watching the first anime just to be thorough. I'm also hoping that W and Wars can get ports here in the west. I'm not expecting it, since it came out the same time as Yokai-Watch, and Lv 5 seemed to put the latter at a much higher priority.
At the very least, we got a great game for the 3DS. It's basically a spiritual successor to Custom Robo.
I've been meaning to pick this up since it got really cheap really fast. I understand the gameplay is more Gundam Extreme Vs. than, say, Custom Robo?

Discuss your favorite movies for the Godzilla Franchise and anything Godzilla related.
-How is your hype for Shin Godzilla?
-Are you looking forward to it, or are you disappointed with the outcome so far?
-What would you like to see from Toho in the future?
>>14484559
Shin Godzilla Concept Art, in case people haven't seen.
>>14484559
I'm looking forward to it.
I only really liked the very first Godzilla movie and so far it looks like they're trying to make something in the same vein.
The new Godzilla design is a little bit goofy compared to the American versions but I really like the fact that it looks mutilated and monstrous, it's the best way to reactivate the nuclear psychosis that fueled the first movie. Especially now that we've got those stories of people literally melting after being irradiated in the Fukushima disaster.
And to be fair every Godzilla design that came from Toho was a little goofy, but here it's played in its advantage because it gives it a grotesque look instead of just a silly look.
I'm really hoping that it leans more towards horror than the other movies. It'd be cool to see the effects of his nuclear breath on the human body up close.

>Shin Godzilla: 07/29
Wait, Shin premieres this month? Is the rest of the world going to get it too?
