How would you feel if the original plans for Yamato went through and Harlock made his debut in the original series?
>>15751921
Mamoru Kodai becoming a space pirate surely beats his completely pointless death later in the original series' timeline, but it depends on how they went about it. One of the ideas had him pretty close to the actual Harlock, but in another one he suffered from some terminal illness and was barely kept alive by machine, with him basically only showing up once. That "Harlock" would have been quite pointless, and the character likely wouldn't be nearly as famous if he had debuted like that, but the more standard take on him could have led to some interesting crossovers down the line.
>>15751921
Like shit. Because then Harlock would've belonged to Nishizaki. Imagine...
>>15753980
Nothing of value would be lost. Harlock never amounted to anything worthwhile. He only looks cool and repeat vague monologues. That's literally all he does. I can't think of a more pointless character.
I just finished reading Devilman for the first time and I just don't know what to feel beyond a little bit stressed and unsatisfied.
Before you jump to conclusions I didn't dislike it, but jesus christ the general vibe of the last few volumes hit me like a brick, and that final battle was so rushed tohelland back.
I found when I read it that it was super enjoyable and grim. I couldn't wait to see what happened next, and found it super fun watching the rollercoaster ride of Earth's fall to the demons and Akira's suffering. I also really liked how the delinquents basically became his posse.
>>15749565
I had the same feeling. After Jinmen I found myself pretty much tearing through to see where it went next. Everything just escalates so fucking quickly.in those final volumes it's impossible to look away.
Well the month is finally here. Don't know the day though.
What are our expectations?
Quick rundown for anyone who is just arriving:

Decent discussion of a few behind the scenes things in this video:

Most important bits from it, in my opinion, are that there may not be a live audience in attendance, and that the actual event may not even be live-streamed. So it is a concern that when the final fight does happen, it will be somewhat edited to make it look cooler. Like that one anime about playing Basketball with Mechs.

>there may not be a live audience in attendance, and that the actual event may not even be live-streamed
Isn't it kind of late in the game for the word "may" to even be in the discussion? Unless they slipped their date again, this feels like shit that should already be decided less than a month out.

Judging from how the panelists say it, they just don't know the full details.
Are you guys ready for dual tonfa with built-in gun using Soldat piloted by a girl who is sperging for her Crossbell?

How does Cold steel connect to Trails?
I've had the first two trails games sitting in my steam since I was "going to play them at some point" and just never bothered too.
>>15744373
Sequels, taking place at a different country. One of the characters from Sky is a major character of this game.
>>15744378
Are the gamesfun?
All I know about them is that one brown haired girl is pretty cute.
What does /m/ think about the fandom for the new Voltron show, even my 18 year old sister is into it.
>>15743577
I think you need to check the catalog.
>>15743577
Who gives a shit about the fandom? What matters is its a solid show and blows most western mecha out of the water, although they bar is mostly set pretty low.
Ifwe are to judge the quality of a franchise by it's fanbase then absolutley everything in the world sucks shit.
>Indeed ... It can be said somehow that it is closer to a rabbit than a stag beetle to be sure. No, I have no time for that. Eyes as if resigned to everything reflecting neither despair nor hope... The lips closed as if it has lost the language which should be spun. Skin which is so white as to be transparent, as if showing submission without a fight... And the chest, as if declaring goodbye at the end of the world, without an island in sight... If it were him, it would be just right. Personally it is ant like… Indeed, it might not be an ant either, small black and light to the touch.
>As Kasumi peaks out from the side of the Doctor, Silvio zooms in on her chest taking a snapshot, and grades it – pitiful.
Silvio confirmed for best boy. But translation release when. Probably as much hope and dreams as Kasumi's breast, very little.
Soon
What do you guys think of my squad?
I wish /m/ would appreciate tanks more, I really do.

I'm pretty sure >>>/a/ and /especially/ >>>/h/ do at least :^)
Episode 1 of Giant Robo's OVA, the Day the Earth Stood Still, was released on July 22, 1992.
Happy 25th birthday, Robo.

The answers to these questions...
Please tell them to me some day...
You like the mecha of 40k?
>>15683783
would buy if they had articulations or were sold in my country
I shit talk them because of the lack of skirt armour, but they're pretty fine.
kinda need a bigger sword, though, he can't even reach the floor with that blade
>>15683787
There's always Johnny "Skips Arms Day" McGunwrists
The Titans as a whole are hilarious, but most especially the Imperial-class. Still, I love the stupid-silly concept of a literal walking castle of death.Moreso once corrupted by Chaos.

>Not Naguri edition
>>15627082
She's going to show up this week?
Neato
>>15627259
Next week.
I have a question /m/
what is your favourite mecha designs
Mine is EVA-01
(please don't crucify me for this)

Black Getter, with special mention to New Getter
Mk. Sein and Mk. Nicht from Fafner. I like unusual mecha, and the Fafners already take the humanoid form but give it wierd proportions and joints. Then in context of the show, these two are even more alien than the rest.
Are all Gundams as depressing as 0080? Because this was devastating.
yes , even when they don't try to be
Zeta is depressingly bad and a shit sequel to the original
>>15765080
No. Without getting into spoilers, Turn A has a very powerful and emotionally intense ending, but I wouldn't call it devastating or depressing.
Ok so I finally got myself to watch this I really dont understand the praise. I was lead to believe that this has incredible animation and art direction, but that definitely is not the case. The story also is fairly sleep inducing. While the build up towards the final battle is decent, but not special in any form or shape, the conclusive battle is complete fucking dogshit. So what exactly is the praise directed at? The fact that Amuros Gundam frame looks good? Or that single, fairly well animated funnel scene? And it definitely doesnt help that Quess is even more annoying than Kamille was for the first 10ish episodes of Zeta.
Did get I get bamboozled? What the fuck is going on, I dont get it? How can anybody praise this shit for its visuals when its less than 4 years older than 0083 while looking infinitely worse? Not even gonna start on the fact that it looks like a turd with a cocktail umbrella compared to DYRL, which is older than it.
You are correct. CCA is not actually a masterpiece. It has a bunch of glaring flaws, the plot is iffy and the characters are kind of crappy. In short, standard Tomino fare.
But it gets a pass since it's literally the last time you ever see Amuro and Char. It is good for that.
>>15764989
Not anymore. Go see the new Build Fighters short.
Reminder that this is a 0083fag shitposter from /a/ who is retarded and thought 0083 was made in 1983.
Will you buy her, /m/?
>>15762700
yes
>>15762700
Yep. My Speedy needs his friends.
>>15762700
Probably not, but I will call her cute
