So i've been wondering, what language do the Sides speak? Given the various ethnicities of gundam characters that come or live in the various sides i wonder how that works. Most likely the universal language is english going by MS monitors but how does it really work? Are the sides divided by earth nationalities? In colonies that are "multicultural" do they speak english or the language of the nation that that colony belongs to? Do people from the colonies have some kind of patriotism to their home? Do they have the same culture as the nation that that colony belongs to?

As a whole the sides are ruled by the EF but since they are devided into groups belonging to various earth nations, i think, i wonder if any officials influence the colony with their own culture and what follows.
We can go back to the start and the very first colonists. Would they not carry and implement the culture and tradition of their homeland and pass it down their children?

Dorothy is so much better than Rei though.
Its really clear that Dorothy is actually a very opinionated and snarky person, its just that the limitations of her robot body mean that she is always stuck with the same expression and tone of voice. Consequently, everything she does is fucking hilarious.

That part where Roger and Dorothy met the Archetype made the series for me, among other moments. Roger was struck with some unknown fear as he delves into the underground. Dorothy at first seems unfazed but when the Archetype shows up she suddenly breaks her robotic tone, scared and confused. That set the tone for the other mystery-oriented episodes for me.

It suffers from numerous, fairly severe failings but it's not the worst thing ever made.
If you're enjoying it, keep watching - I imagine it's lot better when you can marathon it rather than having to wait a whole week between episodes when so many of them are mediocre, as I had to.

What's the general opinion on it? I mean, the concept is great (A government-sanctioned team focused on monitoring and stopping giant monster threats scientifically. Basically, Ultraman without Ultraman), but it's really hard to find anything about it.
I understand that the second and third books haven't been translated for lack of interest/sales/niche audience, but is the Shinji Higuchi-directed live-action show bad enough to justify the fact that no one seems to have interest on subbing it?
