>again, any of the Macross Delta wins
What a fucking bullshit award, well looks like it's even more obvious that Nips have shit taste, more news at 11! Really wish that us white people would have more say in the anime industry, it would be 1000X better than it is now.
Man Satellite and Kawamori must be broke after this.
I've been looking for a song that has "devil" in its song name. For some reason I can't remember but I can remember where I first saw it. Written in a $5 bill stating to listen to it. Sounded pretty sick bit I didn't even write it down. Imma bump my favorites until someone knowspecial what I heard... it was alternative sounding like linking park.

Partake of thy faygo tonic and other evil circus approved libations and frolic in the glory of the industrialized era.
Are you down with the analog clown?
Magnets are the miracles of heretical sciences for they hold no sway in the world of brass and iron.
>Oda makes some crazy beach party Zaku
The little doodles of Zeon suits he remembers are pretty baller though.
Oda is hack. He produces the most generic slop imaginable for mass consumption.
Don't post him on /m/
>>14713881
Not even a big fan of Zakus but damn that looks nice
Where did you find concept art from the cancelled Samurai Jack/Gundam crossover?
Why was he a bad guy again?
Just look at his goggles.
>>14713818
Looks like hero goggles to me. Haven't you seen digimon?
Lotta QUALITY for a bad guy.
I didn't care much for the show itself, but Sol Gravion was a pretty rockin mech both in looks and abilities.
It looks like those shiny bootleg robots I'd see at flea markets as a kid.
>shiny bootleg robots
I remember having bootlegs of Orguss and Baxinger of all things, except I had no fucking clue at the time and figured they were just random robot toys. It was only years later I learned where they actually came from.
>>14713872
It wasn't a bootleg but I had a Daikengo I was able to buy at Toys R Us at some point.
Didn't even know what was from till recently.

"The Courage that the Monster Gave Me"
A strange homeless man who calls himself James Bond is being pursued by mysterious agents. At the same time, rumors of a wolf or even a wolfman are turning up all over Tokyo. Could this Mr. Bond and the wolfman be connected? Solbrain tackles its most bizarre case yet!
Notes:
Sorry about the delay this week. Was out of town.
A solid investigation episode with unfortunately silly special effects, but a good story overall. Jun continues to be one of the most fun characters. The villainess in this episode is played by none other than Mayumi Yoshida, aka Lou, Pink Flash from Supernova Flashman!
Given the wolfman theme, it's interesting and certainly no coincidence that the family name of the proprietor of the company that creates wolfmen is Kujo, a nod to Stephen King's Cujo, about a rabid killer dog.
Enjoy!

Hell yeah more Solbrain

Thanks again SO. By the way, someone's been asking in the Rider general about a way to watch Changerion.
>>14715298
Huh. Did Changerion ever get a DVD release?
How much influence on Evangelion did Nagai's works really have? Be honest.
>>14712920
Ryo=Kaworu
And his last just happens to be Asus. Coincidence? I think not!
>>14712937
I always see people say this and that Nagai inspired Eva but they don't really gives proper examples. I mean, there are obvious things like what you said, though.
>>14714319
There's other bigger influences but there's a lot of shout outs to older series because Anno is a massive otaku. Eva if anything takes more from Ultraman, though.
What did he mean by this?
>>14712837
he smelly boy
>>14712859
I know it's Tomino we're talking about, but some characters really shouldn't deserve the shitty deaths they got.
>>14712796
How'd he go again? And didn't he make it thur Zeta and ZZ?
>>14712801
He tries to stop Chan from being stupid and ends up being blown into space.
>>14712796
He was like on of the few post 0079 characters that wasnt introduced in the movie and they just waisted him. Fuck CCA.
I just finished The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?I actually thing its much better than Gundam 078 and Zeta combined, anyone else here agree?
Do You Remember Love?
>>14712761
>not liking 0078
Disgusting pleb.
Everything is better than Zeta
Just watched this and it was really good.
It's on netflix, if you haven't watched it, give it a go
I remember being put off by the "twist." Maybe if I watched it again, I might feel differently about it, but I'm not sure I want to.
It's a pretty movie, though.
>>14712605
Was the CG movie the same thing as the anime or was it different.
>>14712613
Let's say that the twist is related to your question, and makes it hard to give you a straight answer.
this man slaps your gf on the ass an says her ass is now property of the Delaz fleet
wat do?
>>14712245
I offer him partnering in an exciting bussines proposition in the realm of the pharmaceutical industry - selling crystal meth.
Congratulate him on his very loyal gf

I'd impale her with my mega beam cannon if you know what I'm saying.
Will Tomino redeem himself from G-reco?
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-09-25/gundam-tomino-discusses-2d-fantasy-robot-anime-plans/.93321
>stated in the Gundam G no Reconguista Official Guidebook that he is considering making his Hollywood project in Tokyo instead since he noted that "it seems like Sunrise will let me try to make a robot project that is slightly more fantasy." He also stated that he would still use traditional hand-drawn animation for the project.
>stated that he would like the work to make children realize the current rarity of hand-drawn animation, in light of the rise of modern 3D animation in Hollywood. He also said that he would like two or three more years to work on the project.
>his Ookaze no Okurosama company was collaborating with Hollywood special effects studio Legacy Effects in the movie production business — specifically, "movies based on Japanese manga and animation from Hollywood to the world."
>>14712197
Tomino stuff is actually really good when he's working with competent staff and when he's not shafted by Sunrise.
Just look at King Gainer.
Is he never going to retire? I don't even mean that in a negative shitposting sense, I mean I'm surprised that he still wants to keep working at age 75 like that. He didn't even want to give G Reco a regular 50 episode run (which I argue may have improved some of its problems).
Hopefully whatever he works on, he allows the staff to handle the scripts for him while he writes the scenario, broader concepts, and focuses mostly on storyboard, world building and animation. He did for 0079, much of Zeta, most of V and almost all of Turn A and they are all better for it.
If the memes doesn't get to him first, then maybe.
I want to get into this series but don't know which to pick. I would try both but the number of spin-offs are too many for a person with limited free time. I also wanted to know if some of the spin-off can be watched having only seen one version of the show.
>>14711925
You can't really watch anything later if you do robotech. Robotech also jams multiple series together instead of just sticking with Macross, which is the part you actually want.
Just watch Macross, dude.
Robotech is a joke of a property whose only accomplishment is keeping Macross out of the west for nigh on 30 years.AND WE
>>14711925
Here goes :
Robotech : read the 1980s-early 1990s mckinney novels. No less no more. Forget about the animated Robotech it's is steaming pile of nonsense.
Macross : Watch Frontier + movies. If the series manages to warm your heart to japanese idols and music go for Macross 7. Stick with it to the end. It gets really epic by the final episodes. If by the end of 7 you're still rocking and singing go back to the original SDF. It isn't as great as 7 and Frontier but it is the original. Watch it only for cultural value if nothing else. If the shock is too rude drop it and watch the movie version instead "Macross Do you remember love ?". The movie version is a condensed alternate retelling of the tv series. It's not perfect but animation wise it's fuking great. One of the best high budget high quality animated feature length movies of the entire 1980s and 90s. It can hold its own even today compared to some of Ghibli's high budget modern movies.
There are a couple of ovas, but nothing really fundamental so you can leave them for the future.
Be warned about the latest installment of the franchise : Macross Delta. It should not be your first entry into the franchise, it has too many fucking problems, animated wise, character wise, story wise to be really engaging and the probability you'll hate the entire franchise too high. Start with the good entries and leave Delta as the last of the last.
