Mecha be a decaying husk of an anime story element, but shows like this prove that there's still some life in the Emperor's corpse even still. I can't help but smile at almost every single scene, and I don't even think much of Mazinger otherwise.

Dirty Vagans have the most unique enemy designs in Gundam up to date without them being over the top like the circus mechs in Crossbone.

Also love the sheer amount of wears the AGEs have and it's dissapointing they only used like 1/5 of them and never even bothered to mix and match them.

If this isn't just shitposting, the correct reply is you should watch at least a little bit to form your own opinion of it, but as far as mecha goes, the show doesn't really offer a lot of mecha content towards the end. It's mostly character drama after episode 14.

Highlights from that interview and some personal insight into them:

Though my mother was at the lower end. From that point of view, I didn’t agree with the communist approach. So I was more moderate. That’s why I wanted to show that kind of story in Dougram, where Crin’s father is part of the establishment and the guerrillas oppose that with Crin in the middle, as he doesn’t really know how the world works yet. As I was given a lot of freedom on the story, I put a lot of thought into it as well as my experiences."

At the same time, Okawara was thinking along the same lines and he too thought 4 meters was the smallest size where a mecha could still have a pilot and be a mecha. So we both agreed at that time that 4 meters was the right size for a realistic mecha."

Nope. The what little mecha action there is is not very exciting. Its a show you stay for the humor and characters instead of the action. It gets better once you move past the first season into Fumoffu and the Second Raid but they have even less mecha fights.
