EXVS thread, Gyunei is the next DLC.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHLvWKf0UOo
TGS is also next week soon, are you ready? For another disappointment?
>>14715040
I completely forgot that guy exists. I thought that was some Gyan variation or something.
>still no playable Byarlant
Gyunei is the next unlock not DLC.
TGS, will probably be a disappointment but I'm still hopeful. they did confirm they're working on Gen 5 vs title so we may get to see that. Fingers crossed for MB PS3/4 port.
>>14715380
We already got Jerid. In 2 suits!
I wonder what's in this box.
Oh, it's a Nadesico thread. Fancy that.
>>14714083
aestivalis a cute
I couldn't believe how small they were when I first watched the series.
>>14714087
something like 6 or 7 meters depending on the frame right? Yeah, that puts them closer to a Labor than it does a gundam. actually I think the Ingram might be taller. Man they are cute little things aren't they.
>>14714083
Is there an Izumi in there?
All boards on 4chan combine to make a mecha.
Like how Getter Robo has getter rays and Gurren Lagann has spiral power. This mech is powered by shitposting and memes.
It had 1 pilot from each board.
What does it look like and how does it work?
>>14711339
has*
fuck
>>14711339
The robot breaks itself apart and explodes, killing all the pilots because the only thing people on this site can co-operate on is causing each other, themselves, and others pain.
>how does it work?
It doesn't.
Kazuhisa thread
Also, does anyone know where I could find good scanlations of Gundam Crossover Notebook?
>>14709838
>reading Kondo's 0079 manga as a kid
>absolutely loved it, fantastic art and great MS redesigns (except maybe Big Zam)
>only the first 9 volumes got published in the US
>story cuts out right before the Gyan fight
Damn shame, I really wanted to see A Baoa Qu in this style.
>>14709838
him and Kobayashi should get a show where they're the primary mech designers, would be glorious
It saddens me that the American film making industry hasn't grasped onto the mecha genre firmly. I'm not too sure as to why. Do Americans simply not like giant robots? I wouldn't really say that; Pacific Rim had a $411 million dollar box office, so I believe there's some demand. Are the political undertones not very popular here in America? I think a key component of mecha is a clear political or cultural message. Gundam is of course an obvious example.
Macross communicates a message on how we perceive culture. But Avatar, grossing a $2.8 billion box office, pushes a similar a point. Evangelion, which challenges societal roles? What about Full Metal Jacket, including Pyle and the female sniper? FMJ is considered a cult classic today. Is war not a hot topic here in America? I'd say quite the contrary: Saving Private Ryan and American Sniper has done quite well.
I do believe that overall Americans see animation as "childish" so the mecha genre as imported from Japan may not do hot. But I really think there's a demand for live action mecha-inspired films. What is Hollywood thinking?

I think it's slowly catching on. Apparently James Cameron is a fan of Gunnm.
What do you think of this?

How can Sunrise make Build Fighters good again?
Remember they can't pretend like Try didn't happen.
>>14705399
By letting it rest for a while.
Give the staff freedom to not get buttfucked by businessmen again.
Take a full season to actually plan the episodes and animate them ahead of time.
More budget into sick mech fights.
Instead of making it immediately 3 on 3 either drop the 3 on 3 or dial it down to 2v2.
Instead of having only two single elimination tournaments back to back, do what YuGiOh or Medabots did and have the first part of the series be a sort of ranking system free for all where people have to fight for points and so you can still lose as long as you earn a certain number of points to qualify for the real tournament. In this part people will ally up to test their synergy or just fight 1v1.
In the real deal tournament the teams are finalized after we and the characters have got to know each other better.
Also, dial down the fucking Naruto effects where everyone can destroy galaxies with their shit.
Age up some people. BF1 was cool because it had adults and children all having fun together. Try was babbys and 2 high school teams. I want to see 40 year old gunota, college students, teenagers, and 12 year olds all playing together in the next one.
No more harem bullshit. Seriously Try is Tenchi Muyo levels of harem faggotry and it is disgusting, and most unforgivable of all it's fucking boring.
I mean really Try did everything wrong.
other boards are doing it so Im curious to see what you guys would post

Ken Marinaris from Zone of the Enders 2
>>14704362
Looks like Ken from ZOE2.
Fucking amazing show, can't believe there's autists that think Code Geass and Fate/Stay are remotely on the same level.
>>14691739
I know it's bait but what even is that comparison? That's like saying you just watched Lord of the Rings and you can't believe there are people who enjoy watching Titanic or Bad Boys 2.
I like LoGH too but what?
>>14691739
People have shit taste.
Congrats on watching the best anime of all time, Sieg Mein Kaiser!
I went on My Anime List (cancer, I know) and those were those shit lords go to comparisons.
Either way fucking phenomenal anime.
ULTRATHREAD!
But enough of Ultraman.

I'm watching a bunch of the original and Ultraseven and man, these shows are fun, funny (more often than not often willfully) and creative as hell. It feels like anything goes as far as aliens/monsters and their powers go and it actually works really well. The Akio Jissoji episodes are really stylish too.
Aside from that I watched The Next and it was a fun movie and some elements reminded me of Hasegawa's good writing for Fourze
I also watched a very tiny bit of Mebius and Nexus eons ago but I barely remember anything so I can't comment.
fuck
There, you happy? Tsuburaya's throwing in three new kaiju.
how can I see Gundam F91? is it good?

Torrent it.
Yes.

>>14724376

One of Reiko's former high school classmates, a traditional "rakugo" storytelling comedian, falls victim to a sudden kidnapping. Who would kidnap a second rate comedian for ransom? When the comedian's mother refuses to pay his ransom, he is suddenly released by his kidnappers... and he finds himself sympathizing with them! Will this case of Stockholm Syndrome lead to disaster for the comedian and his mother? And what is it that the criminals are truly after?
Notes:
The kind of comedy performed in this episode is called "rakugo". It's a kind of comic storytelling where one comedian sits on stage and tells a story. He is the only person on stage, and he portrays different characters through different tones of voice and turning of his head and body to signify different characters talking to one another. If you'd like a Western example of this, consider British comedian Eddie Izzard, who turns his body and head and changes his tone of voice to portray different characters.
The comedy routine delivered in this episode is a very famous and well known routine called "Jugemu" involving a character with a ridiculously long name. As trying to translate the individual parts of the name would ruin the joke, it's left intact. Much of the story is overlaid with the characters talking over it, so you don't really get the whole experience. More information can be found here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jugemu
The actor who portrays Shinichiro Ishimaru is actually a famous rakugo comedian in real life and still performs today. His real name is Sanyutei Kintoki. The joke is that he's actually a very good and famous, and he's playing a crappy comedian in this show.
I love this episode. I think it's a feel good episode that shows that sometimes people consider motivations over actions. It almost feels like it wasn't even necessary to have an action sequence, and the writing was top notch.
>Oogisawa episode
Sounds like a good time alright. Thanks again, Otaku!
>>14723741
Neato! Thank you!
>>14723741
Wasn't the narrator from Kakuranger a rakugo performer?
Anyway, thanks for another episode!
Why does everyone dislike SEED destiny?
It was really pretty good
>>14722704
I don't, it's the best entry in the franchise
>>14722704
It was above average up until Kira became the protagonist again, then it went to shit.
Break The World incident was cool as fuck though, maybe if we had more battles like that it wouldn't have been so bad.
>>14722704
>Seed Destiny
>good
OP confirmed for drooling mongoloid.
Since it's 9/11 I was going to make a thread about who did post 9/11 America better, Battlestar Galactica season 3 or Star Trek Enterprise Season 3 but then I remembered how much Gundam SEED, a show made during the invasion of Iraq in 2003 seemed to take influence from it with the earth alliance/'murica invading Orb just in case.
What influence of 9/11 have you seen in mecha and sci-fi after 2001?
Sci-fi after all is known fir taking current events and norms and transplant them into different worlds and situations to put emphasis and context to the absurdity of certain social issues.
Cap Murrca Winter Soldier is so post-9/11 you can smell the ashes of ground zero wafting from it.
It's also honestly one of the best capeshit films I've ever seen, it doesn't dwell that hard on the freedom vs security theme but it touches upon it in quite the poignant fashion.
>>14722610
It is interesting how an hero born out of the fight against fascism aboard has been used in modern times against restrictions of liberties domestically. I suppose the entirety of the civil war story line in the comics would have never surfaced without 9/11 even though being discriminated against the way you were born is an american story as much as the melting pot story is.
>>14722601
Reminder that a central plot point in Gasaraki was the United States invading a middle-eastern country to remove weapons of mass destruction that did not actually exist. It was made in 1998, and the actual Iraq War didn't start until 2003.
I'm watching Zeta for the first time and holy shit, I cant get over how awful this woman is. Why the hell did Tomino pair based Amuro up with this bitch?
Tomino loves to see you triggered and suffered
>>14722271
She's just worried that Amuro will get himself killed. Though yeah, she does come across as annoying.
In Beltorchika's children she's a lot more accepting of Amuro's choice to fight.
>>14722281
not OP, but it's not even the fact she's overprotective of Amuro, she's just a complete cunt. She was literally telling Kamille to fuck off because she wanted Amuro to have the better mobile suit.
