That is one of the worst gundam entries though, even Age had a better structure than that. Somehow it is still better than cancer like IBO.

0800 is not a masterpiece. It was Sunrise's last attempt to keep an interest in Gundam. Yep by the late 80s Japanese didn't give a shit anymore about Gundam. It was seen as a has-been series.

If he was a pretty sixty year old mech, the degree of enthusiasm would probably be higher.

I finally started LoGH and am slow burning it at 1 episode a night until the series really gets going and picks up my interest enough to watch more than one episode at a time. I have to say the episodes are pretty good for mainly info dumps and world building, and the first two episodes took me about 10 minutes after to digest all the information. Took me a bit too grasp the full impact of the first battle and just how brutally Reiner turned a terrible situation into a brutal crushing of the alliance. Episode 3 is where I'm at now and the episode gripped my attention much more.
My friend said it's largely works building for the first 20 or so episodes and from then on is when the drama and plot really kicked in and never really stopped. Would you guys agree with that sentiment?

Thanks, I thought it was a cute idea with a cute result.
Now to simply ponder where future vice will take us.
Man, I always forget that Kira and Athrun don't have a combination attack in Z.
It's so weird, all the other SRWs have it, but not Z.
I suppose it's because they had the METEOR attacks instead.

Is there a Getter soundtrack that isn't amazing?
You could pick any Digimon soundtrack and it's amazing, even 02 has great music. Hope Appmon 's music does well without any contributions from Wada Kouji. Savers or Adventure are probably my picks for best overall soundtrack in Digimon.

Ideon and Chirico. Who would survive?
Geist.
>>14871664
Chirico "More Unkillable than a Cockroach" Cuvie, obviously. He's always getting suits destroyed, whether he's in them or not. He can probably get Ideon to invoke and still crawl away somehow
>>14871664
If the fight isn't to the death, Chirico finds some way to incapacitate Ideon and get away.
If it is, Chirico and Ideon turn on the people forcing them to fight to the death. Chirico gets away.
If it is and they can't do that, Chirico kills Ideon before it's invoked.
>oh nice, Godannar BDs, the difference shouldn't be great because of digital animation, but it should at least look better than the DVD version
>oh wait
The BDs really make me get a feeling so complicated. Close ups look alright, but as soon as the screen moves back everything looks so smudged.
How do you guys feel? Are the BDs worth it over the DVD version?
Wow, that looks terrible. I don't have a good answer to your question, OP, but wow.
From what somebody posted the other time, the latest R1 DVD release would be a fair compromise.
Godannar was boring and the ecchi didn't help.
Like, I've seen some shit shows redeemed by decent ecchi, but this was not one of them

Tomino is making one right now. With fantasy mecha, and hookers.

>fully hand-drawn high-budget /m/ movie
No, there's no way it would be possible to do in the current industry and mecha is incredibly unpopular these days so absolutely no one would see it if it weren't part of a franchise.
There's also quite literally no demand for it either because of that, and thus no reason for any studio to even consider it.

Meh, I don't fucking get the hate for Hathaway. Everyone says he's pretty much like the devil but honestly he literally made ONE mistake(in the movie) and it did not happen in Tomino's novel.
Ok let's talk abotu the movie then, for example Katz in Zeta I do understand, he was annoying for several episodes straight and he fucked up a gazillion times. Hathaway fucked up once and that's it
He's also a great character in HF
Imagine if Amuro survived Axis Shock.
Now imagine what would have happened to Hathaway in this case.Bright-slaps for days
Quess was easily the worst part of the entire movie, even Gyunei could've been pretty cool if it wasn't for his obsession with her and Hathaway only really made a mistake after they unnecessarily killed Quess when he was calming her down.
>>14870836
>he literally made ONE mistake(in the movie)
I'd say at least two, 1st getting into the mobile suit in the first place. Second one was killing Chan. That second one is a pretty damn big mistake. Someone died, and for what? Quess, a bitch if general opinion around here is true most people can't stand. Worse yet, he couldn't even "save" quess, making the whole incident a waste. Your not exactly making Hathaway a case for likeablity on this case.
>it did not happen in Tomino's novel.
I don't see why you would base your opinion of Hataway in Tomino's Movie, on a novelized version of him. Also Which CCA novel, there are two. You should specify.
>He's also a great character in HF
Irrelevant, it's an (mostly) untranslated book most of /m/ will never read. Aside from the point, people shouldn't have to judge Hathaway from the film from media outside of the film.
