Vidar is awesome. He had a good episode and next episode he's meeting McGillis. Revenge incoming.

praise you

I'm glad Ein is okay and Galigali is going to be the jobber not the jobbee
and yet its the best gundam property to be released in a long time
>>14971074
All it is is just pokemon with gundam
>>14971103
and gundam is a generic war story with giant robots
Heard this is getting an anime? Is it true?
Original Voice Drama isn't anime.
I heard Frozen Tear drops was getting an anime. Haven't found any confirmation.
Gentlemen. /m/ games do not sell. How do we fix this problem? Do we just admit that it's too niche?
>>14970958
TF:Devastation and EDF ( games by actual game developers) seem to be doing well. The rest of that list are indie crap.
Who do you mean by "we." You mean /m/ fans or developers making /m/ games?
Its too niche for AAA development and indies don't have the resources to make them at the quality /m/ fans want. Hell even FromSoft fired their whole Armored Core division after Verdict Day.
Devs who are interested in /m/ need to rethink their strategy and not bank on the game itself being their main source of income.
I don't think or expect /m/ fans to do shit, but taking time to make fan content on something they like helps a ton.
>>14970988
Yeah... the two games on the list that aren't /m/ and "made by real game devs" are doing decent, big shocker.
the best mech games are where you are controlling a big expensive overly complicated machine and it feels like it
games are too main stream now for a game about being obtuse and overly complicated to be profitable
its in an awkward spot of being a niche audience that requires a mainstream budget
how would you react if some anime studio decided to make a show centered on Gundam-themed power armor?
you know, like an actual Mobile Suit
>>14970717
>power armor
>actual Mobile Suit
Pick one.
>>14970732
a mobile suit is not technically a suit, its a bigass robot.
>>14970717
It would be more believable than giant robots that's for sure.
sr question, whats with all the sexual tension on white base? was the creators message that if people would just fuck more often then there would be no war?
was that even tension, or did whitebase erupt into an orgy every time they werent getting attacked?
>>14970673
think about it.
everyone on WB is really young and there was the chance they could die at any moment
>>14970673
That reminds me, I just finished a fucking silly doujin where they went vag-smashing while UNDER attack.
>>14970673
srsly tho watched the whole series through for the first time recently it made me horny and im not one to get turned on by this sort of stuff
Hey /m/, I'm working on a report on the mecha genre and I was wondering if you guys could assist me and correct me if I'm wrong.
My report is (obviously) on the mecha genre of anime, touching a bit on its history, attempts at replicating the genre in the west, and the division between the real and super robot genres.
I have down that the origins of mecha in anime trace back to Tetsujin 28/Gigantor, though mecha can be seen traced back to Tokusatsu tv series prior to its inclusion in anime. I've also included that Mazinger Z set up the tropes for much of the genre and pioneered the super robot genre.
In terms of attempts to replicate the mecha genre in the west, I've included Megas XLR, Symbiotic Titan, Pacific Rim and Voltron, with the latter being cited as the West's largest commercial success in mecha.
Anything else of note I should include?
>>14970601
>a report on the mecha genre
That is fucking embarrassing
>>14970628
It was either this or Celtic folk music.

If you're interested, there's actually a governement-commissioned study on the subject. No, really. It can help.

I spent few hours and adapted popular touhousorter to use Macross songs:
https://konopelko.github.io/macrossort/
Basically by giving you only two choices at one time it compares all songs and generates ordered list of songs from your most liked to least liked.
It has only Frontier and Delta songs, no SDF/DYRL, Plus or 7. Usually when talking about Delta people compare its songs with Frontier since they are in the same genre (modern j-pop). And to be honest I was lazy to add other series. Besides it already takes up to 158 battles (depending on amount of ties) to complete the sort.
Please spend few minutes to complete the sort and post results here so that we can once and for all decide which anime has better songs: Frontier or Delta.
And here's my list as example of objectively perfect taste. If not for 2 godlike medleys Delta and Frontier would fill my top 20 pretty evenly.
At first I wanted to create this thread on /a/, but then I figured out no one cares about Macross there. Right now /a/ is extremely hyped for Code Geass R3 announcement. And I remember no one gave a single fuck when Delta was annonced even though both R2 and Frontier were equally big hits of 2008 in Japan. "Do I need to watch previous Macrosses?" was the most popular question in all Delta threads on /a/ for several months. I bet this thread would die on /a/ before anyone would be able to complete a single sort. And it makes me sad.
>>14970350
We already have a delta thread
>>14956033
>>14970367
But this is not Delta thread, duh.
This is Macross song thread.
Post your favourite Tomino villains, either major or minor. This guy was just really fun to watch.
The amazing duo. Mask was a pretty interesting rival character, and I wonder what direction we'd go if we ever get a sequel. Barara is cute. Cute!
motherfucking Yassaba Jin
I want to say that there was a contest. I had to think for about half a minute. But no, there was no contest, this motherfucker is the best villain ever.
Since you guys are the experts on Mecha anime, I wanted to ask mecha recommendations because /a/ is a fuckfest and I would rather ask the experts on this shit.
Don't recommend me Gundam, I have no idea why but for some reason I didn't really like it. I really have no idea why. It's not the age of the art because I've seen really old shit like Ogon Bat and enjoyed it.
You fuckers probably get this type of shit-tier thread, my apologise in advance.
Also I know, fucking Daimidaler isn't great. But it gave me some good laughs at how fucking dumb it is at times.
>>14969538
Thanks a tonne, now I've got massive list.
Episode 34

OP Mika is lewd
Vidar is beautiful.
Holy fuck that was the most pedo thing ever.
Why is it so easy for people to just steal a gundam?
I mean it's a very expensive and very dangerous war machine. You at least expect there to be some sort of simple lock on it hindering small children from taking out one whenever they feel like it.
Because they leave the keys on the sun visor.
Because they clearly didn't have the budget for it.
just like how tanks have locks and that guy totally didn't steal a tank in 1995
Will he ever recover?
>>14969335
HORSE
COCKS
>look at his current era artwork
>it's some uncanny mixture of oily 2d and 3d
>>14969335
>Will he ever recover?
No. Life has completely changed him. We will never ever have again the whacky talented man he was in the 90s. If you don't like cocks or horses then modern day Masamune is not for you.
CODE GEASS: LELOUCH OF THE REVIVAL
So... the motherfucka of 2006 with his
trademark laughter is back in town?
Someone assassinate the producers at sunrise before this gets released.
OH NOOOO
Once they done with Origin V and VI in 2017 and 2018, are they going to do the original anime? Gundam will be 40th by then, so it would be a perfect opportunity.
>>14968962
depends how well origin sells
>>14968962
Make it sell well and remaster the original series.
>>14969364
>Remaster it
>Origin is literally the same thing but with more Logic
Baka, actually read the manga
