Rats fleeing a sinking ship. Godzilla in Shin is more akin to a host body of individual cellular beings with one consciousness rather than truly a single entity. When the body was dying they were attempting to escape in order to separate, survive, and reappropriate. As shown in the movie when put under duress this Godzilla goes through evolution, these small bodies growing and attempting to escape show this.

Yes and no. It's been a couple of months since I've seen the film so I don't remember the exact dialogue, but earlier in the movie they were talking about Godzilla evolving as he moved further and further inland. These were going to be the winged forms they talked about.

I give it a 10/10 personally. The plot moved at the right pace and was engaging, it concluded all the important themes Tomino had been building up with the franchise until then. It concluded Amuro and Char's arcs in a strong and bittersweet way. The mech porn was amazing, and the soundtrack and animation were amazing. I suppose the only thing that would have been nice was if it was a bit longer so Kaira could have been developed more.

Either discuss Getter Robo or don't post and it'll die.

I'll start. I still think Change Getter is the best Ishikawa ova. It definitely has its flaws, but I think its strengths outweigh any weaknesses it has. I also believe it manages to best capture the style and tone of an Ishikawa manga.

Did anyone ever rip the ADV special edition dub?

In terms of what was missed:
SDF Macross has a happy ending and humanity goes out into the stars.
Lot more Zentraedi wondering about the miclone's culture and not so much about how they can't do shit or are slaves to the Robotech Masters.
No mention of the Robotech Masters.
No sequel hooks.
Things are constantly getting better, not worse.

how are those in terms of tone? for what I know some KR seasons play it a bit more straight than others
