Universal Century 0079, September 31st, four days before the White Base eviscerated Garma's Gaw Carrier fleet in New York.

Baltimore, in the former state of Maryland, has become a battleground between Federation-backed resistance fighters (as well as several recon units) and Zeon occupation forces. Both sides have suffered great and terrible losses since the start of the One Year War. Neither side is interested in surrender, however.

The importance of the city cannot be overstated. It sits on the Old US I-95 corridor between Orlando and New York and is an important port city (despite the waning trade industry in previous years). Moreover, it sits near several key pre-UC fortifications (such as Fort Meade, the old US Naval Academy in Annapolis, and Andrews AFB in Virginia) that can be used as staging points and resupply stations into or out of the city.

If Zeon can hold on to Baltimore, it will keep it's southern flank secure from any attempts from Jaburo to push northward, bringing the Federation's burgeoning turn-around of the war to a screeching and sudden halt. If the Federation can somehow retake the city, it will provide an ample corridor for any planned supply routes into North America's East Coast from Boston to Augusta.

The White Base has been spotted near the south. Federation forces have their work cut out for them: get the White Base on her journey north to New York by any and all means possible or all is lost.

The stage is set. The actors are ready. Let the play commence.

Block by block, the city will be taken back.

Just an errant thought, why do a lot of heavily right-wing Gundam fans love the Feddies so much? You'd figure the various spacenoid factions would be more in line with that political train of thought and a left-leaning globalist power structure would be more aligned against that.

I've been watching Mashin Hero wataru lately.
It's entertaining, though gets samey at points.

How do the follow up shows compare? I like the look of the 90s and I'm kinda wondering if that's alright to jump into after this one.

I just finished Dougram. It was really good, one of my favorite series now. I was expecting more from the ending, but I'm actually very content with it.

I don't see it discussed too much. What do you think of it?
