If NEXT pilots arepermanently bound to their mechs, why do they work at all? Why sacrifice so much to earn mad amounts of money if you can't spend any of it?
Giant robot hookers.
Let that sink in.
I don't think it's ever said to be a permanent connection. They're probably jacked-in via nervous system implants like IBO's Alaya-Vijnana or something.

So what you're saying is that they exchange "clang" for "CLANG".
>effeminate character makes an appearance
>it's always voiced by this guy

Don't forget M'Quve and Ru-Kain.

I must have been the only one in the world who wanted Evil Prince Diamond to actually end up with Sailor Cry Baby.
How do I speak Eisenachese?

What did Go Nagai mean by this?
It's a metaphor for you, xPearse. In this scene, the collective shitposting energy of every human is expelled from Earth. Take a hint.

So God does exist.
Thank you.
So I heard that there was someone here that had the manga chapters past the first 4. If you're still here, could you please share them again?

Bumpity
I had a look through the archives but all I could find are the raws. I'll give the link for anyone who still wants it.

Hypothetically speaking, which of the following would be the least impossible and expensive for a game publisher to do: somehow getting the licenses for every single mecha series in a mainline SRW game, or modifying every asset in the game so that every name, character/mecha design, music, plot, etc is only different enough to avoid being sued, in other words, making it a SRW: Chinese Bootleg Edition?
Just something I was wondering about.
>>15246086
Modifying assets will totally get you sued. A lot of this shit slides though because international copyright suits are a massive pain in the ass and not really worth the effort.
Neither, you can't go past 100%.
>>15246086
Doing a SEA English translation and letting the handful of SRW fans import is cheaper than both.
I believe it's time for a Bionicle thread.
Why was Mata Nui set so fucking awful?
>robot made out of huge flat panels perfect for CCBS
>doesn't get a CCBS set

I wrote some mech fiction, it's still a really early draft but I wanted to share it with you guys so you can weigh in.

Any feedback is appreciated, I just want to know wether or not I should keep going with this.

Would this get you anywhere near the basic ideas required behind a realistic mech
You need to think bigger.

Does anyone know where I can find the translation for this, or can translate this?

Holy shit is this the Gundam documentary I've been dreaming of?
Also, just a little side note, would a war series of short but successive wars be counted as one war? Instead of calling it the One Year War, the Gryphs Conflict, could it be called the Universal Century wars?
>>15239081
I don't know, ideally that's what I would have called it, check out the other episodes though, it even features Tomino, its a shame I can't understand it though
I can't find a torrent for this show, should I just read the manga?
That goes for some other things too, anything else that reading the manga might be better for? Go Nagai, Rose of Versailles, all that stuff?
>>15235281
It's on Crunchyroll, just turn on ad block.
It's on Bakabt, along with the movies if you took a second to actually search.
Lastly I believe only a few volumes were brought to the US, and the majority of it is untranslated.
>>15235296
I found the torrents for the movies, I was just wondering if anyone thought any of these shows were cases of "read the manga instead' since I've never considered this for old manga
>>15235281
>wanting to read anything by Lazy Matsumoto
Don't do that to yourself
Why didn't they just develop the dummy plug system from the beginning?
>>15234735hey boss it looks like we might finish killing humanity before we burn through all these Reis, what do you want to do with themshit I dunno, that new kid's a spaz, maybe we can make some backup pilots out of them
>>15235040>Shit man, How do we get that loose cannon Ikari to iron out the bugs in the MP EVA control system? He'll have it figured out in minutes.
>Frame it as a more reliable backup and demand it get integrated for safety. Plug in some data recorders too; might be the closest we get to understanding the EVA's tendency to frenzy next time his twat kid lets the thing get away from him.
>That's all well and good, but we also can't ship him the real control units, for obvious reasons...
>Tell him to use some of his creepy clone harem; He only ever really cares about the active one in the first place.
