I notice in the case of the three rival boss machines (Green, Yellow and Red) they mention in the game's (scant) background that two are cyborgs with one having grafted several new arms to herself (Mistral style apparently) and one having replaced over 80% of his body with cybernetics.

That aside, what kinds of things do you like in anime. Mecha is very diverse so we need a bit more knowledge about what you like. Story elements, themes, cliches, genre types, anything you specifically enjoy in a show. Saying "recommend me mecha" is as nebulous as "recommend me anime".

The Gundams looked like some leftover designs from G. The grunts however are one of the best in the franchise.
