Has Tezuka ever felt threatened by Matsumoto?
After seeing how bad of an artist Matsumoto is, I think it would be weird that Tezuka would, but I don't know.
I know Tezuka felt threatened by Ishinomori though.
Tezuka enjoyed Nagai, particularly his ecchi stories. A few years before his death he was very impressed by Otomo too.
But I don't think he ever said something about Matsumoto.
>>15420750
I remember him insulting Otomo and saying he would be forgotten quickly while comparing himself to classical music in contrast to Otomo's loud rock 'n roll. What a pretentious, self-obsessed fuck. I think he was on good terms with Nagai and Matsumoto because they were always flattering him, but for all we know about Tezuka, he probably hated them behind their backs.

Does it really matter?
anime when

thats a really cool design. this is from a manga? is it any good?
Does advance of zeta even have a story?
I thought it was basically just mecha specification porn.
>>15419982
Kit WHEN?
Is it true Yazan is fucking leina in the novels that takes place years after the zeta stuff?
No.
Maybe.

You mean that manga where he shows up with a loli? No?
G Gundam's episode plots are really formulaic. Running plot revolves around the mystery of his brother, which it does nothing to attempt to invest the audience in. Hope you care about super generic shonen protag and his problems automatically because they're not going to any lengths to convince you. As such, it just kind of comes off as bootleg michael bay: No real depth, you're there for the action. The rest is an excuse to have said action.
Which can sometime be alright, but mecha combat seems really samey to me, and especially if every fight is just a slog of head-on smacking each other, stalling until burning finger.
So with nothing really going for it but the action, and the action the same every time, by episode 3 I felt like I had seen everything the show had to offer and came off with the urge to browse 4Chan on my phone when it was on because the show itself didn't hold my interest, so I gave my excitedly expectant roommate a "*shrug* Still not my thing."
He insisted it gets better somewhere by the second half of the second season, something about zombies, but just introducing zombies to mindless action hasn't fixed a single title they've tried that with so i had my doubts, also having to endure 3/4 a show just to hit its sweet spot is not my idea of a good time.
I realize this is probably not the majority experience, but it is mine. Different strokes for different folks.
While I get how offputting those early episodic formulas can be, many episodes are in and of themselves worth watching and tell good stories, and open up plotlines which are later directly followed upon. Very few episodes of G are true 100% filler, and the payoff from 38 onward is massive.
But to each their own. Don't know why you felt the need to whine about the show on the web after watching 3 episodes.

>No real depth, you're there for the action. The rest is an excuse to have said action.
Don't talk shit about G Gundam when you don't know anything about it.
G Gundam is a classic Chinese martial arts drama told with giant robots. It has the emotional depth that none of the other Gundam series can reach.

Stick to IBO then
What the fuck was his problem?
No seriously. Why was he such a goddamn edgelord when it came to IBO?
He wanted to punish Tekkadan, yet let Gjallarhorn survive scott-free?
Was he trying to be a reverse Seiji Mizushima or something? (Gundam 00)
>This guy is 41 years old
How in the hell. I thought it was just the women who got these anti-age genes.

That's Asians for you. Some people still think Hirohiro Araki is a vampire, for instance.
Trying to copy UreaBuchi, ain't he?
So would you rather be the proud owner of a Robot Master, Reploid, or NetNavi.
Robot Master
Pros: Do as they are programmed, follow the 3 laws of robotics.
Cons: Can be reprogrammed to do bad things via hacking.
Reploid
Pros: Has real emotions and self awarness
Cons: Can go get the maverick virus or go maverick if it is a new generation model
NetNavi
Pros: Rather independent, can move about the net.
Cons: Bound to the net, can be deleted, always knows your internet history.
>>15417366
Netnavi since that means the world is now advanced as fuck and in no danger of ending in some insane robo apocalypse
>>15417366
>owning a reploid
I don't think it's moral to own something that thinks and feels.
As for the question at hand, I don't really know what a NetNavi does (I only played EXE 4.5 for a little bit). I'll go Robot Master. There's a lot to choose from.
Honestly, I just want to befriend a cute Elysium android, fall in love with one another and grow old together.
Are they? I know there's been a few "female" Transformers, but I feel like most of them're dudes. Admittedly, our conception of gender and sexuality probably has very little to do with theirs. However, by our standards and definitions, are most of them gay?
Also, I fucking love Chromedome. I don't know why the US '80s Transformers cartoon never really grabbed me the way the Headmasters did, but the Headmasters grabbed me by my fucking dick. It's such a fun show. I love all the cheezy Headmaster rainbow-out-their-asses team attacks, and Fortress Maximus is one cool dude. I really love Chromedome, though. Anyone got some good romance fanfics to recommend me?

Who cares?
Read the IDW comics, especially the stuff by Milne & Roberts (MTMTE).
The wrote some astonishingly good stories for what is in essence glorified advertisements of plastic toys for children.

Since they don't reproduce like biological beings, their relationships would probably be, technically, homosocial, like Frodo and Sam's relationship in LOTR (apologies for inability to think of an /m/ example)

What did he mean by this?
What would have happened if Amuro went to space?
A better show
Titans defeat comes easier. Jerid and Yazan would die much earlier. Char kills himself after seeing Amuro kill aces that he himself couldn't kill. Axis gets utterly btfo by the time of ZZ.
>>15416973
>Amuro gets to space
>doesn't get a Gundam because he doesn't feel he deserves it
>They sent the Dije to Earth thinking he was there
>Amuro proceeds to solo the Titans and Axis Zeon in the Methuss
You wake up one day and realise that you're Jerid Messa.
How do you react?
I die
I commit preemptive suicide.
Don't make fun of a boy with a girl's name. If I do that I should be okay.
well shit....

Okay, I will.Too bad I'm a liar, old man...

Haven't seen a girl go from cute to not cute like this since Yoko from TTGL.

Let’s be honest it was that or an exact mini copy of one of them, there aren’t that many options in anime
Can we all agree the worst thing about the second season, in a pile of awful things, was the conveniently ignored plot thread where the killer of a Mobile Armor becomes nobility in Gjallarhorn. That was the whole damn reason why Rustal sent Iok & Julietta to Mars - to prevent a neutral or opposing party killing it and gaining power within Gjallarhorn.
And then Mika still kills it. Rustal failed.
And then it never gets used.
Tekkadan doesn't gain a rank in Gjallarhorn. The whole reason why they intervened, just poof. No one ever mentions it again. Which sets things up that keeps them at a disadvantage as well as McGillis, lol.
>>15410970
That would have been interesting to explore if Okada/Nagai hadn't been incompetant hacks who just wanted to glorify their favorite va/character at the expense of everything else.
this. I knew I was forgetting something. And it's a shame too, since that arc was pretty good in comparison and seemed like it was building up to something later.
The show went downhill since the MA arc
