>The setting is post-earth/space war with mobile suits already established and the Gundam being the machine that won the feddies the war
>Present day federation is just dealing with straggler terrorist cells with one of their main bases housing the gundam in the hangar and collecting dust
>A bus of fresh from the academy rookies comes in, one of the new recruits is an autistic ensign- still in his teens who is super excited about mobile suits.
>First friend he makes is with an overweight vet who's seen some shit, but is otherwise a pretty okay guy and does double shift as the cafeteria chef.
>Supposedly the new recruits are to test out five NEW gundam prototypes to combat the most dangerous terrorist cell. Said terrorists get word of this and prepare to attack at dawn
>Daybreak comes and the base is under attack
>Fattie and autist find eachother. Autist heads for the hangar thinking he can save everyone with the old antique gundam
>Fattie tells him that thing opens up for nobody. Autist tries anyway and succeeds to get the cockpit hatch of the gundam to open
>Later a terrorist suicide bomber runs in and jihads autist before he can even get into the cockpit
>Final shot is of fattie holding autist's dismembered head in his hands and looking at the carnage outside

What's your favorite Gundam Mobile Suit? Anything goes, as long as it classifies as a Gundam
As for me I really like the FA-78 Full Armor Gundam from Gundam Thunderbolt. Even though it might as well be an edgier RX-78-2, it has a lot of minute details that set it apart and make it unique. Not to mention the fact that it is one hell of a killer machine and a true terror when it comes to space navigation.

I am 12 episodes in and I dont get it. Why the hell is this so muss less popular than Macross? Some people claim that it looks worse, but after having watched more than a third of it I reached the conclusion that this is an absolutely delusional assessment. It basically looks the same, in a lot of cases even more detailed and with higher fluidity. Is it the pedo bait in form of Mome or does the story take a complete nosedive later on? Someone please enlighten me.
