What's the ratio of happy ends to horrible deaths for Gumdam pilots across the franchise?
5:3

Victory Gundam/10
A/Z
Is it just me or are the action scenes in Origin just a little too much? You've got this relatively grounded drama and then at random you've got Mash doing some kind of nothin personnel kid ninja slice on a Guntank and Ral and Char knocking dudes 10 yards with punches and sound effects like they're suddenly in a kung fu movie. It's cool and all but it's like they wanted to make two different kinds of anime. I wasn't scared by Char going apeshit on that guy, I was laughing my ass off because of how overdone it was.
Anyway, what did everyone else think of Origin II?
>>13458346
They're trying to make a David Lean epic film, bigger then life characters, melodrama set amid sweeping historical events.
Lawrence of Arabia, Dr. Zhivago, The Bridge on the River Kwai, and even Ryan's Daughter...
>>13458364
The biggest anime since the silent era.
>>13458364
It doesn't really work the same when instead of Ramba Ral being a tough guy in a bar fight they swing too far over the line and Ramba Ral is Bruce Lee.
What mecha would he pilot? He's already got the power armor on so he can withstand the harshest of piloting conditions.
Hulkbuster counts.
>>13458317
All the alt universe variants suggest he'd just pilot a giant robot shaped like his Iron Man armor.
>>13458317
GP03.
In-universe, what were Max and Miria doing while the rest of the cast of Macross were being loaded onto the Megaroad, never to be heard from again?
>>13458256
Going to hazard a guess and say making more babies
>>13458256
Probably busy creating their 7 daughters
>>13458273
>>13458272
Canonically having constant, amazing sex.
Is there anything Kawamori has ever done well that was unrelated to his mechanical designs?
To me, he's a terrible director and writer.
>>13458103
Ruining franchises?
>To me, he's a terrible director and writer.
Thanks for sharing, I'll remember that you said that?
>>13458103
He's probably make the jet and gun noises too
>>13458103
Plus was kind of cool, but that had more to do with itano's choreography and his mechs...
...so no.
"I'm a victim!"
>>13458082
>keked by his own son
>>13458091
I can't believe he actually deserved it.So if Hal is Strangelove and the Boss' ideological lesbian baby and does and Big Boss is the Boss' spiritual adopted son, does that make Hal Solid Snake's uncle and Ocelot's half-brother?
>>13458082
I am also a Victim
Would any of /m/ like it if Gundam had a smaller shape? More akin to the Gasaraki mechs?
>>13458069
>Would any of /m/ like it if Gundam had a smaller shape?
Why would we call it Gundam then?
>>13458069
...would work for the Japanese of other people of smaller stature, but honestly anon...a standing target is still a standing target.
didnt tomino want the victory to be around 13m
theres a picture of him, katoki and some other people in front of a victory statue thats around 13m too
/m What is the best space battle ever?
Personally, the destruction of the Death Star, like you have in your pic
>>13457830
Show me what you guys, fellas.
Apparently this one was made by Compile (shares brand-identifying sound effects and they're credited) but published by Telenet (not, surprisingly, Nihon Telenet of Valis and other games). Pretty cool MSX2 mecha fighting game.
>>13457784
Love Vanguard Bandits. One of the better WD translations too, from what I remember.
I think I've seen Frame Gride talked about only a few times on /m/. Weird, since it's basically a more arcade-y Armored Core in a fantasy setting.Frame Gride x Souls when.
>>13457784
is the 90s Raideen any good?
I think the robots look pretty good for a reimagined raideen and not to mention obari worked on it
Well, it's really psuedo-gay at the very least.
It's so pseudo gay even the show makes fun of how gay it was
there really should have been at least one girl
>>13457400
GIRLS ARE FOR FAGS
Just out today
>>13457350
ah fuck yeah
>>13457353
should I watch UC Gundam in production order or chronological order
In meme order
>>13457335
Chronological order, so start with Ideon
>>13457343
don't forget xabungle comes after 0079
Do they have to rebuild the hangar every time a Monster walks out?
Yup.
I have to admit I cheered as a kid when I saw that scene the first time.
>>13457493
I cheered LIKE a kid when I watched ir for the first time last year. Fucking loved that episode.
>>13456985
why does it look like a tropical bird
So I watched the first episode of Cross Ange and it seems like it might be an interesting show but the over excessive fan service is putting me off. Should I continue it or is it not worth it? I pretty much thought "what the fuck" during the entire episode
>>13456778
Not worth it especially after Fukuda fully hijacks the show from the writer/director.
>>13456793
/thread
Oh no, I made the bad anime.
What does /m/ think of Sahelanthropus? What is /m/'s favorite Metal Gear?
>>13456339
>Thread archived. You cannot reply anymore.
>>13456352
Honestly we've had this thread so many times that I think if you want /m/'s opinion you should first grind through the archive.
Because it's really kinda boring having to explain how Sally isn't technologically superior to what comes after so much as it is a flashy vanity project for Emmerich.
