>post apocalyptic/dystopian setting
>Hakider isn't Saburo or Gill, but just some random cyborg/android with a different human form
>Hakaider joins up with a resistance movement in what is implied to be Jerusalem, though filled with Japanese people. How he and they got there in the first place, who knows
>is kind of implied to be the original Hakaider at some point in the movie, but it's never expanded upon
>fights a white Metalder at the end that turns into some kind of Franken-Kikaider also the guy who may or may not actually be an angel
>wanders the wasteland as some kind of dark cowboy hero
This movie was weird. Also not very good. Hard to believe the guy behind Garo directed it.
>>13485098
Apparently it was written by Toshiki Inoue. I wonder how much of a history he has with Amemiya.
>>13485148
Amemiya roped Inoue and Black Condor in for a gag-toku series. So it's THAT long a history.
Saw this movie in middle school 'cause a local comic shop had a fansubbed VHS tape for sale. It has some cool designs in it but overall the film's pretty boring. The only part I really remember liking was when Hakaider fights the stop motion Tank-Kikaider at the end.

I finally found a decent picture showing what the silhouetted prototype zeta in first Z gundam opening probably looked like.
So how about a concept art thread?

Nice catch. Where did you find it?
Concept art from unmade "Dai Mazinger" OVA

Alright I know many of you are biased because of your catgirl fetish and toonami nostalgia, so take your time before answering, and take every factor into account.
Who's the best bumbling brown female antagonist?
Seska Fuzen or Aisha Clan-Clan?
Seska is for hugging, Aisha is for fucking.
>>13484406
What makes Sessie-baby huggable in your opinion?
>>13484383
> Aisha
> antagonist
What? I know she started out as against the heroes, but that was for what...two episodes? And then she's on their side for the rest of the show. That hardly makes her an antagonist.
Mikazuki beat Kira in this month's Newtype character poll.
Arpeggio's way more popular than I thought.
>>13483817
So?
The same thing happened with 00/AGE/Unicorn/BF
Those all disappeared but Kira remains.
>>13483840
G-Reco too, Bellri beat Kira at least once.
So, anyone else playing?
Can you transform into a Kamen Rider in this one.

mecha games/series that don't get the love they deserve and why.

Pic unrelated.
Fifteen games is plenty of love.

no OP, but say that to the sales and fandom.
This thread is now:
Mecha games that should get anime adaptations
* Armored Core
* Virtual-On
* Kikaioh (Tech Romancer)
* Cyberbots (Full Metal Madness)
* Hyperdyne Side Arms
I have a group of friends who fervently refuse to watch Gundam or anything /m/ because it's "not deep enough", "boring", and "robots aren't my thing".
How do I fix this god dammit.
>>13483322
Get better friends.
Better yet, don't have any friends at all. Waste of time, they almost always are plebs in some way or another, etc. Not worth the bother.
>>13483322
>"not deep enough"
I'm guessing they haven't seen Evangelion.
>>13483322
What are some of the animes they like, anon?
So a number of months ago I asked you guys if a /m/ related youtube review channel would be a good idea, & I'm just now reporting back on what I've come up with. Last topic the responses ranged from not wanting to bring new people into mecha with these videos, to it being a great idea if I could pull it off right, but now I've got something like 8 reviews under my belt, so I'm checking back with /m/ to get some feedback, & hopefully get some guidance on what direction to take these videos in.
Please tell me what you think. I'm getting slightly better each time, so hopefully you guys won't be too hard on me.

BTW, does Guntank still post here? I wouldn't mind hearing his thoughts since he's been at this youtube thing way longer than I have.
>>13483240
I enjoyed. Follow your dreams ;)
>>13483296
Thanks. Anything specific I could improve?
Well, if nobody has any suggestions then I guess I'm going to stay the course. I plan to do a video a week, so hopefully some of you guys enjoy what I do in the future. If anyone has a request feel free to hit me up with a message. Currently working through Giant Gorg, so hopefully that turns out to be review worthy.
Thanks for your support /m/
>nephew (4 years old) is suddenly obsessed with robots
>take him to a hobby store for a toy
>ignores everything else, wants only the little 4 inch Gundam Mk 2
>plays with it for hours, won't let it go
the tears of pride still warm my cheeks, my blood has good taste
Did he choose the shitty white-black AEUGH one or the glorious Titan-colors one.
AEUG or Titans is the real question..Either one, your nephew still has top tier patrician taste.
>>13483152
they didn't have titans colors at Toy Tokyo in manhattan, unfortunately.
he chose AEUG colors.
I thought you shitheads told me this was the best Gundam series out there?
The titans were so obnoxiously and obviously evil it was hard to believe anyone should have taken their side on any issue they were handling.
Every single female character in this show is so insufferable and they make up 3/4th's the cast members.
Kamile is an obnoxious child most of the show. Don't even get me started on Katz, the highlight of the show was his hilarious death.
Each episode had very little reason for me to want to keep watching all having their own self contained little battles and climaxes and conclusions with little to no cliffhangers or pulls to entice me to continue the show.
The last two episodes are so filled with uncontrollable slaughter that I have zero time to feel anything for each major death that happened. It would have felt much more natural having most of those characters die slowly throughout the course of the show than all in one giant shitshow finale. And what the hell even was the asspull deus ex machina newtype friendship shield the Zeta Gundam gets?
Seriously please tell me this isn't the best Gundam has to offer.
>>13483067
What was evil about Mour, Four, Lilah, Sarah. or that one Titan who stopped the regular feddies from molesting Celtorchika?
What made the characters insufferable? Have you ever considered that the characters were not there for you to want to pals with but have a role to play in the story ?
Why do you ignore how Kamille grows up from his rivalry with Jerid, starting the show with freaking out and punching him over a trifle, and not caring about him at all at the end, being focused on what must be done to end the war instead.
What would have made you "have a reason" to want to keep watching ? Why does a show require cliffhangers to be good ?
Why do you judge the quality of a show by your own emotional reactions to events ?
Why didn't you pay attention when Haman and Scirrico were doing the same newtype shit a few episodes earlier, or when Four did something similar in the Psycho Gundam ?
The best Gundam has to offer is Turn A, but I don't think that Tomino anime is for you.
>>13483067
0079 is the best the series had to offer. Zeta is a joke in comparison.
Only other truly good entries in the series are 0080 and Turn A.
>>13483067
It's almost like there's no such thing as a perfect show and all shows have flaws, but that can't be right, can it?
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2015-11-09/scene-in-gundam-iron-blooded-orphans-causes-viewer-complaints/.95182
>The Japanese Broadcasting Ethics and Program Improvement Organization (BPO) watchdog group has recently published viewer complaints for October, one most likely stemming from a scene in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. The complaint refers to an anime where "several nonresistant prisoners and enemy soldiers are gunned down by the young male protagonist." It does not directly name Iron-Blooded Orphans in the complaint.
> The grievance also stated concern of children watching the mecha anime, expressing worry over the potential influence that such a violent scene could have of child viewers.
>"If you look at the title, one would immediately think of this as a children's show and that many children would be watching."
Media watchdogs exist in Japan?

>Iron Blooded Orphans
Yes this clearly sounds like a kid show
