Wing was originally conceptualized to be like G, with each Gundam representing a specific country/culture. Wing was Japan, Deathscythe was Europe, Heavyarms was the US, Shenlong/Altron was China, and Sandrock was Egypt/the Middle East. The whole motif was dropped pretty early on in the development process but there are still some design holdovers.

Well, I hope they at least realize that wangsty Hibiki is shit and finally do something about all the bullshit she insisted on dragging around this season. The fact it seems to have worked despite how awful it was doesn't bode well though. I guess I'll see how the previews look, but I'm not actually sure I want more Symphogear after this season. The first season was great, but the two subsequent ones have all suffered production issues that appear to trace back to Kaneko and while the second was good despite them the third really wasn't - and he doesn't appear to know or care, so if consistency holds, the next will be really bad. Even the fights weren't that exciting in GX so I can't bring myself to be enthused about more.

Is the choice between Minmay and Misa really a metaphor for how your taste in women changes as you progress from dating in your youth to marriage as an adult?
Even in the last scene Ichijo didn't show any passion toward Misa. He shared two romantic, in-love kisses with Minmay, but the only times he kissed Misa were under orders and to fuck with Zentradi. You get the feeling Minmay was the only one he loved, whereas Misa was more like the girl you choose to marry when you realize you need someone who has their shit together and can give you a stable life even though they're not your first pick. In the end by settling with Misa, Ichijo didn't so much choose a girl as he chose a life/career.

Why aren't non humanoid mecha more common?
It's absolutely obvious at this point that besides Gundam nobody cares about humanoid mecha.
Every single new series failed. Even big budget projects with a lot of marketing.
Meanwhile a series about tanks outsold everything since Code Geass. Isn't it about time they stopped forcing humanoid robots?
