What am I in for?
Zegapain is a Sunrise original mecha before Sunrise original mecha were a meme. Every couple episodes is a new revelation or twist involving the setting or characters. It manages to be pretty decent though, not the most memorable thing but entertaining enough.

Mecha anime classics
Zegapain is one of the better post 2000 mecha out there.
It's not as good as tetsujin or the fafner movie, but it's pretty great.
RahXephon has a lot of issues, but it also has a few 10/10 episodes. I think it's overall worse than zegapain but at least the robots are animated instead of the super goofy robots of zegapain.
Poor V2. Stuck with awkward gimmick wings and parade colors. Nowhere near as stylish and elegant like the F91, not even close to being cool and badass like the Crossbones, will never be as well-liked as its predecessor, the Victory, because nobody can like mid-series upgrades anymore without being dismissed as silly power level plebs.
Despite all of that, it's still the best late UC Gundam for me. Get in here, V2 bros.
>>15688821
My favorite regular Gundam although nobody beats Madnug.
>still no MG Ver Ka V2 AB
>>15688821
How is the V2 not elegant? It has one of the better color schemes for a Gundam. AB is indeed a mess because they threw gold everywhere, but the V2's use of yellow was minimal and classy
What are people's thoughts on Define? I see we finally have English scans out from Zeonic.

It's another case of Kitazume hack job, ever since Relic Armor Legaciam and bankrupting his studio guys been a total disaster
>>15688264
On a positive note I do like some of the mechanical redesigns but the Asshimar one was total shit.

The Geara Doga and the GN-XII are my two favorite suits. Good taste anon.
Sorry for the delay anons.
Rather short at only 11 pages but this chapter is a bit of a throwback to 1984, and when you see it you'll be sure to say it.
It is also the final chapter for what is to be volume 14.
Fuck EF and Zeon, the real question is do you side with the Gorgonites or the Commando Elite?
>>15687529
Whichever one isn't going to fucking flip out and firebomb my house. Like seriously, there comes a point where you start getting pelted with flaming tennis balls before you decide you've had enough and get a baseball bat.
Goddamn toy war.
SD Uni supports Gorgonites!
Used to play the shit out of the gpc ame back in the 90s

Do you think ZAFT ever stopped to wonder if they were the bad guys in all of this
Rey, are we the baddies?

I'm surprised there hasn't been a parody recut of destiny.
I've had the idea to do a 25 episode one for at least 3 years, but never tried it.
>>15686271
I can't find it anywhere, but I could've sworn that there was some website or mechanical design book that went explicitly into the ZAFT model number making scheme.
Like the ZGMF designated that it's a zaft ms but the following numbers indicates its combat role and generation or something like that.

Is this even a real issue? Because last time I check, we don't like in 21XX where reploids or robot masters exist. This article is great if it were a sci-fi sort of thing, but actually contemplating this in real life? Where AI is about as smart as an amoeba?

It's sensational nonsense.
If they weren't exaggerating about the sentience of robots, the article would be legal or politics section instead of weird of technology news.
Also, women are notoriously insecure, so it's safe to discard any female writer's opinions on this matter.
>>15685902
It's not. A per usual, we've got idiots more interested in the hypothetical rather than what these robots are actually capable of currently.
>>15685913
I'm sure women will be on board if they started working on male models.

No.

Alright /m/en, Objectively speaking, which organization in Gundam committed the most amount of human rights violations/genocides/etc?

Space Rats. they were that evil
>>15681296
Zeon? Though they seemed to care more about child endangerment than feddies ever did. I'm only going off the original series.
>>15681296
Tekkadan is pretty fucking awful for a protagonist organization. I would say Celestial Being but they had an intended goal and Aeolia's vision in its purest orthodoxy was supposed to have them end up as martyrs after uniting the world against them.
But as far as body count goes and methods behind them? Probably Zeon and all related Zeonic splinter groups, remnants, factions, etc...with the Titans and Cosmo Babylonia as well as the Jovian Empire not that far behind.
>gas fellow colonists with the equivalent of mustard/nerve gas

HOLY MOLY
So if Ohtori can take out an entire fleet of ships by himself what will Houou Voyager be capable of?
Garu called Stinger cute near the end of the ep. Fucking gay furry strikes again.
That was a shitty heel turn? What was the point of constantly confirming Scorpio wasn't good and that he was just doing all this for power if he's gonna go soft right at the end?
What are your thoughts on Mazinkaiser vs The Great General of Darkness?
I really enjoyed it especially the music, but I heard some complaints, and I'm exactly sure what they are.
It wasn't nearly as good as the Toei version from the 70's. The animation in the original was gorgeous, and it had a huge cast of robots with tons of fighting. It's basically a perfect super robot movie.
Koji doesn't even get in Mazinger Z until the movie is over halfway over. All the stuff with the Mazinger Army was as pointless as ever because no one gives a shit about those characters.
>>15676381
The main issue is that the Mazinger army gets introduced out of nowhere just to die. It'd have worked better if they only used established characters.
There's also how completely one sided the final battle is once Mazinkaiser appears. They could have brought the Emperor of Darkness to power up the general, or some other excuse to give the final battle a more satisfying conclusion. It was even more one sided than Mazinkaiser's battles in the OVA series somehow.

>All the stuff with the Mazinger Army was as pointless as ever because no one gives a shit about those characters.
>The main issue is that the Mazinger army gets introduced out of nowhere just to die
But that's how it was in the manga. It's not about you giving a crap about them. They died to showcase the strength of the Mycenae empire.
Flint, Ansem, and Kino. The greatest Gundam protagonists.

inb4 Goobly Bowtie
>>15675628
If only the show didn't focus on their dopplegangers Flit, Asem and Kio. It's like Kingdom Hearts, I think, where even Nobody's got an X added to the original's name. Only in reverse, where everyone here has an N removed from the name.

I'm fine with it as long as Tatewaki is somehow involved at some point.
Haven't started any of these in a while...
I recently got ahold of an incredibly rare anime OST to a 1984 anime film by Tatsunoko Productions called "Chikyuu Monogatari Telepath 2500." Somebody talked about it on here a few months ago and the plot summary looked intriguing, so I decided to go check it out. The film is alright but the OP of that thread wasn't kidding when he said that a lot of characters die in it
Anyways, some of the music sounded pretty decent, so I got myself a vinyl copy of it a few weeks ago. There's a couple of BGM tracks that were used in the film that sadly weren't on the soundtrack, but I guess I'm okay with whatever was put on the OST. Side B is probably the side that has the best music in my opinion
Side A:

Side B:

Enjoy. Tomorrow I'll post HQ pics of the album cover and insert booklet...it has some interesting drawings by Yoshitaka Amano.
If anybody else has some other OSTs they'd like to post here, go for it.
Here are some samples of the album to give people an idea of what to expect in the OST:

BGM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVp456V3fcU
ED: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDj-K-1-IvY
Unfortunately my amp has gotten worse to the point where the music clips now (I can kinda fix it in my audio editing program though), but I'll still post other unedited vinyl OST rips on here anyways.
I'll try and post pic-related next after I post the album pics tomorrow of the 2500 OST. I think it's some kind of image album based off some SF manga but I'm not too sure
Do you still have the raw recordings for sasuga no sarutobi, or did it turn out to be underwhelming and you decided to lower it on your list of priorities?
