What did you do today, /m/? Anything useful?

I reread an article about the plight of orphaned children in Nigeria maybe 30 times
Be honest, /m/. Would you have liked her better if she was the villain all along?
>leaks info of an illegal weapons project to her radical ex-boyfriend
>allows him to steal the Physalis
>cooperates with Feddie efforts to retrieve it(still need that test data after all)
>leaks plans for another prototype to Zeon(GP-04)
>personally stops her new beau from preventing the colony drop
>conflict in the Earth Sphere is renewed, and Anaheim Electronics can enjoy a new golden age of profit, with neither side ever the wiser
You'd think evil weapons contractors would be more common in Gundam, but not so much.
>>13622757
yes, that would be pretty cool
You can only be so evil when your homes are on the frontlines of nearly every conflict.
Would have made for a far more interesting and coherent story.
Cold as ice.
Maybe.
But on the other hand, collecting him at that time would mean leaving your buddies to face the enemy on their own.
Or you'd draw the enemy's attention to him. And he's defenseless.

Could Gundam or a Valkyrie take down an Heavy Object?
>>13622456
Considering two autists without mechs take them down without even breaking a sweat, yeah, a Petite MS holding a comically oversized pipe wrench piloted by a drunk Amuro getting road head from Sayla could easily take down a Heavy Object.
Turn A probably could.
>>13622473
Could a haro do it?
I'm on Code geass R2
and the guren MK II is essentially Kazuma the shell bullet, and it's my favorite part of the show.
Well I think there was a more classic inspiration for both
>>13622196
Bakunetsu god finger should always live on
The scene where Guren gets wings really reminded me of the way Mazinger would dock with the Jet Scrander
What does /m/ think of Full Metal Panic?
pretty good, 3 remaning volumes for finishing Sigma
>>13621892
do you recommend reading it instead of watching the anime?
OP, your image tells my opinion of FMP! quite succinctly: Kaname in her school uniform in the foreground, mecha in the background. That's why I don't like it very much, despite the fact it has a pretty interesting setting that the series doesn't exploit very much.
Oh, and there's also that thing that the protagonist non-Gundams run literally on willpower magic.
What is a Gundam?
A miserable little pile of nostalgia.

High performance, usually one-off or limited production MS, usually has a V-fin, sometimes doesn't.
Almost always white-red-and-blue but doesn't have to be.
Nothing to solidly define it, perhaps.
High performance Test Models at first in UC, eventually having it's name and outside design aesthetics adopted in even grunt unit units in late UC as a means of boosting moral based on the legacy.
What was his name again?

What are /m/'s thoughts on zeorymer?
It's ok.
Icicles.
I love the ova a lot.
It's probably my favorite super robot anime of the 80s besides gunbuster.
It had really kick ass action, mechs, and the most awesome and bombastic score I've heard for it's time

It was done by the guy who did the music for Kamen Rider Black RX. Which explains the similarities

What does the future of mecha simulation look like? How do we advance the genre further?
>>13620154
VR goggles and a keyboard probably, if it exists at all. Perhaps an optional flight joystick.
VR goggles are definitely the future for the in-cockpit experience.
>>13620154
>we'll never be back in the age of companies making gimmicky controllers like this for a single game
>>13620168
I tried a demo for an Oculus Rift mecha game once at a convention. It was kinda meh, and everything was pretty blurry, although the feeling of movement was definitely there.
ITT: We post pictures of our favorite mechs. Two of my favorites are the Z'gok and Inhert. The Z'gok just looks fucking cool, and I really like Inhert's abilities. Are there any mechs similar to the Z'gok?I don't have a lot of pics of these, as Inhert is hard to come by good art of, and googling for the Z'gok just gets me pics of models, or the art has text like pic related, so if you want to share any pics you might have of other anons' favorite mechs, or where you get your pics, that's cool.

How come anime almost never features kinetic orbital bombardment in the small scale? Asteroid/space colony drops are fairly common (alongside doom lasers) but these weapon platforms are pretty rare, considering they aren't new concept and are fairly low in technology compared to some of the shit they get away with, like nuclear fusion or quantum physics.
In fact, the only anime which I remember that used asteroids as low-scale artillery was Aldnoah/Zero, and that series was fucking awful.

I feel you brother
>>13619252
Dragonar does. The story starts off with the Lunar Empire of Giganos (based on the Moon, as you can surmise) gaining dominance because it controls the mass driver there, allowing it to bombard Earth with impunity and send in its mechs to destroy all resistance.
>>13619252
It's not an anime, but Babylon 5 has at least one major scene that includes it whenthe Centauri use them to bomb the Narn homeworld back in to the stone age, killing huge numbers in the process and enslaving them once more (the Narn had only achieved independence from the Centauri recently in the setting). One of the main characters is watching as it happens and it marks a turning point for him.
A few weeks maybe even a month ago an anon said they'd scanlate the Angel Cop manga and I'm just curious if any progress has been made on that.
>>13618115
We have the script, an anon started actually editing the pages but aside from that I don't know.
>>13618115
Does the manga still have the hilarious jew bankers conspiracy theory in it?
>>13618418
I don't think so
Any other show similar to Robot Detective?

Every 70s super hero toku show?

Have you read the manga yet ? Do it.
As for your question, there's Janperson.
Not really similar nor a show but the whole robot trying to fit into human society thing reminds me of Warbot in Accounting.
I dunno.
