System language set to japanese?

I found it a lot easier to simply install the Taiwanese client and change the time configuration of Windows to Taiwan (note that this only changes the way the hour and the date are displayed, but you can stay in your proper time zone). You also get the benefit of an English language interface.

The older World games are all different, but the modern ones all seem to be emulating the old Tamagotchi pet raising simulator formula, Next 0rder included. There's some plot thrown in as well, but it's mostly about raising monsters and trying to figure out their arcane evolution requirements so you can do more of the in-game activities

If you prefer a more traditional RPG experience for Digimon, play Cyber Sleuth. For some reason, it has a better story than every single Digimon anime

You really need to watch Adventure. Possibly the best kids show.

The best way to get in to Digimon is to watch the show in production order (you can skip 02 and YH). If you want to get into the games too then the notable ones are Digimon World, Cyber Sleuth, and Next 0rder. There's some other ones that are hit and miss or sloppy in execution (Digimon World 3, Decode, Adventure PSP, and Dusk/Dawn) and while they can be pretty fun they are better off played once you are into the series. There's the wonderswan rpgs but those are compete companion pieces to the show and also very mediocre. The rest I haven't listed are almost all shit.

Dude SDF Macross has atrocious animation. Putting up a 5 second excellently animated sequence out of 39 episodes doesn't invalidate this fact.

Macross is all over the place. It has some serious quality and some real gems.

I want to buy Dancouga but I know nothing about it.

It is pretty disappointing if you go in expecting some sort of beautiful exciting 80s mecha awesomeness, but I wouldn't call it shit. It's just kinda boring a lot of the time.

Why is Ex-Aid ending so quickly? I just decided to finally start watching it (got burnt out on episode 20, now I can just marathon it) and realised that there's only 45 episodes. What happened?

Just get it off of the horriblesubs site.
And I really enjoyed it, it had a problem with filler episodes, and the ending being rushed, but that's standard bones fare. Personally I thought the animation was great and I really liked how the story was told, but I know a lot of people disliked it.

Give the first season a shot, and if you don't like the storytelling you probably won't like the rest of the series.

I double what this anon said; I personally enjoyed the series, being kind of different and interesting. It does have lots of filler episodes which can be cases of hit or miss and the end is indeed less than one could expect. Bu the end of the first cour/season is really pretty good.

It really worries me that there are people that found the nonlinear way the story is told, mainly in the first part, as being confuse. The episodes simple start with a short view of the characters somewhere in the future, rolls openning, episode proper take place in the past to show the origin of determined character or situation in the future and them the episode ends again with a short situation in the future, generally the conclusion of what was show before the episode. The serie dates also just mirrors the dates of the Showa era, and its really not difficult to find a comparison chart.
