WEALTH AND GLORY TO THE WINNER

Now some of you may already know that original Japanese version of Gundam Battle Assault (the first one) is a very different game. Known as Gundam Battle Master, it features original characters and story. But then they brought back anime pilots for the US version, plus Heero and Wing Gundam (technically just a clone of Zeta Gundam in the game). Said US version was based on the second game.
So I found this video of the first Battle Master, and surprised to find its fanfic-tier story narrated in English. Maybe because they've already hired a gaijin for the announcer (a dude named Duncan Macintyre according to credits) anyway. And maybe it's just me, but the damage model in this game is more extensive than Battle Master 2/Battle Assault. And I'd pick this Nu Gundam over the one we got in Battle Assault 2.

I uploaded my DVD ISOs over to Nyaa in hopes that some one may want to pick it up at one point, I really think this is a hidden gem. I never ended up finding decent raws so I just decided to buy the DVDs a couple years ago.

If you grew up in the 90s or were a TF fan in the 80s you probably remember Beast Wars, the CGI cartoon show that was way better than it had any right to be.

Well, the Japanese anime sequel to Beast Wars, Beast Wars II, has finally been completely subtitled!

Not only has episode been done but the movie tie-in too, plus tons of insert songs, promos and a whole glossary for the show. It even has two sets of subtitles, one with names used in American TF canon for those who want to see the international origins.

So yeah, if you're into lighthearted and fun robot action and comedy, this is a real piece of history. Check it out.

Now that a few years have passed what do you guys think of Rebuild of Evangelion 3.33?

When I first saw this movie I was so frustrated and hated it because of the typical

reasons that most people seem to hate it for including how pessimistic it was. I rewatched it for the first time since I saw it when it came out and I feel like I was wrong about everything. I really enjoyed it and most of my issues weren't actually a problem when I thought about it after the fact. Especially once I realized it was just a greek tragedy and retelling of Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water. I really respect and appreciate the fact that this movie doesn't make the character motivations and plot obvious and it doesn't spell everything out. I could probably write walls of text about it now, but what do you guys think of it?

What do you think is going to happen in Rebuild of Evangelion final? I have on doubt Shinji will actually gain the will to live again. Kowaru stabbing Unit 13 was a parellel to Nadia trying to kill herself at the end of Nadia, and Jean gives her one of the most hopeful lines, telling her to live because she always has a tomorrow. (Or something, my memory is shit.) This is probably what I'm looking foward to the most anywyas, that and how Rei will develop more.

Amuro/Char bromance aside, what possible reason would Neo Zeon have to recapture Axis to serve as the means to cause Chars nuclear winter on Earth instead of just using the facility they had already managed to capture with the dummy fleet tactic, and already packed up with nuclear warheads and was far closer to Earth than Axis was?
