When I watched Raideen, I noticed something; for all the shit he gets, Tomino directs great explosions. Whenever something blows up in a Tomino-directed anime you always get a real sense of the force of the blast, and the way it tears everything around it to shreds.

He told Vann from Gun X Sword to stop living in the past and seeking revenge for his wife being murdered on their wedding day (and he had a point there about moving on, he just did it in a really cuntish way) and then he spends the entire first half of the game bitching about how much better things were on his shitty planet, the one he failed to save. So then he went to another planet, tried to save that one, and failed. Then he came to Earth, thought humanity wasn't worth the effort and refused to use his giant robot to help people until fate forced his hand. Also one of his enemy faction just pilots a dumb looking giant furry robot with tits.

The original Garland was really inconsistent in sizes.

This show has been a trip. I honestly can't tell if it's supposed to be serious or if they are just making fun of themselves at this point.

My advice is that you find a wizard. They have a tendency to leave superweapons lying around, and if you figure out how those work most work as power sources.

The problem you'll probably run into after that is the actual body - you're going to need to shell out a lot to get a material that is lightweight enough to move, but strong enough to hold itself up (plus whatever weight you might be expected to hold.).

This episode made a lot of the plot of the last couple ones feel more like filler meant to extend the show to fit the last few episodes, with reset happening, the movie tie-ins, and getting the Hyper Muteki gashat back immediately anyways.

But it was fun filler I guess.

Fairly mediocre, which was about 100x better than I expected. The NuBSG approach to 'realist space-opera' designs was cool, it made good use of all the protagonists, plot moved nicely. My only real problem was it kind of fucked up Dessler, Making Gamilus a hivemind race was interesting, but the loss of a great character was a shame.

They only deployed the Gundam separately like twice and admitted it was kinda dumb. The core fighter is there to save the learning computer but they end up using the damn thing as a regular fighter.
