Congratulations family, you fell for a meme.
You know you can just read over peoples' shoulders (for free) on the bus and they can't legally make you stop, right? Knowledge is free, dumbass.

1. Download Calibre ebook management software
2. Download tens of thousands of books for from various torrents
3. Never read any of them
4. Eventually sell your kindle
Just kidding... just make sure you actually use it to read. and actually download calibre...
Calibre is indeed a must, if you own a kindle.

Read a fucking book, maybe?

This. The only time I buy an ebook is when I can't find a torrent for it. Out of the nearly 300 books I have on my kindle, I've bought maybe four.

an actual book, throw the memereader into the trash
Just got my first Kindle, and i must say, it's awesome, didn't even downloaded Calibre yet, Amazon has tons of free books i've being meaning to read.
If there are any interesting books in amazon kindle store, think of picking them up. They are very cheap and they do support authors.
Any news of a Kindle refresh?
Paperwhite and Voyage are on sale right now. That's retail speak for clearing out old stock in anticipation of an update.
Return it and a buy a kobo instead OP

But you are literally a memereader. Are you typing this from the trash?

If I can't find it for free it's probably because it isn't very good.
I don't like kindles because real books let me show off how smart I am
