Thirding Dracula, it's a pretty decent book. A lot of Lovecraft's stuff is written as diary entries, too.

Literally the shittiest form of narration. Not a single good book has ever been written as a diary and I don't understand why authors still legitimately use it.

A Confederacy of Dunces contains a few journal writings, though they make up a very small portion of the book.

Can't believe no one had said The Martian yet. It plays, Masterfully, with the tripe odd journal entry novels, by being a transcript of video journals. It's also a very realistic book, and redefines hard Sci fi with the voice of the current generation. Could not recommend nore highly.
