Transcribe written word to written word?

1. OCR (I remember Tesseract was easy to use but not very good)
2. Pay people (plural) to transcribe for you
You're typing it up so you can edit it, why does it matter if you type up some mistakes? You're going to edit it. That's the point.

Why would you do that? Use it as an opportunity to refresh yourself on what you've written and what you thought could be improved. Writing isn't about getting from A to B as quickly as possible.
Maybe you should have used a computer to begin with, like a not idiot.
