I've been writing since I was a tween. It's all been shit. I've tried so hard to be clever or profound. shit.
Now I'm writing a novel about a kid who has a hole in his shoe.
It's pretty good.

Familiar with Charles Perrault, anon? He basically established the genre and is worth checking out. A number of his more interesting tales are all but completely unknown today.
/lit/, have you ever read Sully Prudhomme? Any recomendations? What do you think about his works?
So I just finished reading this book and it was bloody amazing. What are some other great mystery novels? It doesn't have to be limited to just murder.

Any Hercule Poirot. I also enjoyed Robert Galbraith's Cormoran Strike novels.
Pain and Retribution a Short History of British prisons.
Please guys, help me find this book, I've been looking for it for like two years and I can't find this shit for free. I don't get it, is it some super secret book, that somehow didn't show up on ebook free sites? How's that possible, that even the most recent hollywood movies appear on thousands of sites soon after they are released, and that god fucking damn book still isn't shared online for free? I'm Russian and I can't afford to buy this book, besides I don't even have any e-wallets.
Please help, maybe you can find it?

>>9643640
fortuitously they are in the box, but i'm not really in Asimov (already read a few, but not foundation) is it so good?
Has anyone on /lit/ read this?
I've ordered it, and it should be coming in the mail soon, but there was a consistent lack of a 'proper publication', which has me slightly worried. Everything seemed to be a photo-copy of old manuscripts -- thankfully, I ordered a re-typed copy for about 14$.
What interested it was how it supposedly inspired much of the Hyperborean/National Socialist occultist ideologies.
Oh, and this excellent song mentions it a lot also.

Does /lit/ read research papers?
Which ones, what sources?
I sort of do on Quora, though mind Quora isn't really designed for that. Nit trying to promote or advertise but I'm definitely doing exactly that, hit that website up if you haven't already.

Any decent journal I guess. For bio, Nature and Science obviously have the most prestige, but it's the research itself that counts.
>>9643394
Every single day and I pull them from scholarly databases so the sources and material is a very wide range especially depending on my purpose for reading
