Is Max Stirner merely a /lit/ meme or do you guys actually subscribe to his philosophy?
being a meme doesn't preclude sincerity
>>7426426
is your pic related Max Stirner in the flesh?
>>7426426
I used to subscribe to Stirner, but I swapped over to MAD instead
Post the best books about war: fiction, nonfiction, essays, novels, memoirs, etc.
Posting stuff I was advised to read but haven't read myself yet.
Another recommendation I can't judge.
What are some books, where the main character is losing his humanity, and became a utter monstrosity.

ITT: Describe a normal action as cryptically as you can and we try to guess what it is

i coalesce into the breath of the slandered coelacanth, flowing through the ether of wet into a blistering sunrise well above the murk
Swerve, swerve:
melted gold burns the pristine
white around you,
sulfur will flow from these stains
in times to come, swerve in time,
you must swerve and stay
steady
steady once you find the sizzling,
steady on it

WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN REALITY, THE ARTIST, AND HIS SPAWN?
>>7425968
REALITY AND THE ARTIST ARE LIKE MAN AND WIFE. THE ARTIST SEEKS TO MAKE SENSE OF REALITY THROUGH HIS ART, AND REALITY CHANGES EVER SO SUBTLY WITH EACH INTERPRETATION IN ART. BY THE END, IT IS ARTISTS INTERPRETING THEIR OWN AND EACH OTHERS ART, AS ART BECOMES REALITY AND REALITY MIRRORS ART

I've just discovered zizek and I find that as autistic as he is he makes some good points. I want to read his stuff, where should I start?
>>7425825
First watch his movies, then read How to Read Lacan, then The Sublime Object of Ideology. Then just read whatever.
Don't forget to brush up on your Marx and Freud as well.
>>7425830
Will do. What do you think of him?
>>7425844
I think he's a fraud who's magnum opus - a synthesis of Lacan and Hegel, is retarded and bastardizes the thought of both thinkers. He's more of a weird mix of Hegelianism and Structuralism than he is a Marxist. Zizek's political tracts are almost entirely confused half-rants about things based entirely upon prejudice and psychoanalytical inference over any hard empirical evidence, which has its moments but tends to fall short when the inference isn't based on any, well, evidence. His actual politics are abysmal; Zizek is one of those people, you know, "radicals" who are so very "radical" because of all those people who are not as radical as Zizek says he is, when in reality, he's nothing but another Eurocommunist except with a fetish for Jacobinism.

Fountainhead gets the theory across and is way shorter.
I enjoyed it. Her philosophy isn't so bad, people just can't seem to handle individualism for whatever reason
Hey /lit/, One of the things on my bucket list is to write at least one book.
Do you have any tips or guides? I excel in English but being the worrier I am, I want my only book not to be trash worthy.
I would greatly appreciate it as it may help me write better in general. Please turn my grammer into grammar.
>I want my only book not to be trash worth
that's gonna take a lot of writing. you have to write through a bunch of shit before you get anything good, no shortcuts.
read a lot of good novels too.
>>7425654
I'm willing to put the work in. I just don't want to go in the wrong direction.
Also what novels would you recommend
>>7425649
Writing a book isn't something you check off a fucking bucket list. Everyone doesn't have a book inside them. Very few do. You got memed mate
