You don't. You continue to stare straight at it until you can keep it in your mind and function at the same time. Then your actions will become more appropriate.
Option 1
Keep trying to find a "solution" to your "problem" chasing after ideology and belief like a drug addict looking for a fix, maybe getting lucky and finding something that sticks
Option 2
Keep yourself open to new idea and lead an intellectual life where the process of doubt and questioning is just as important if not more than actually trying to find a solution. Start with the Greeks.
Option 3
Find peace in the One True Original Holy Apostolic Roman Catholic Church and find salvation and eternal peace through Jesus Christ
Option 4
kys (modern internet acronym for "Keep Yourself Safe")
You cant. Consider it a feature of your existance instead of a bug and use it to your advantage
>The danger is in the neatness of identifications. The conception of Philosophy and Philology as a pair of nigger minstrels out of the Teatro dei Piccoli is soothing, like the contemplation of a carefully folded ham-sandwich

That essay is from Beckett's young try-very-hard period and I'm not sure it's worth examining

It's not bad for crackpot lit--I recommend getting the edition entitled Technological Slavery.
If you want the smart, sane version, just read The Technological Society by Ellul. It's a masterpiece.

.... Has anyone seen the new Spartacus series, about the famous slave revolt against Rome? I don't have enough money for a second tracfone but, if i did... i would watch that series on Netflix on my new laptop my friend sent me.

..... If you do see this... I do need a phone, just for making more accounts on the net before more of my numbers get kicked off Google... but... oh well.... peace!...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS8XS_G4LPY and when you watch the sunset tonight.... did you ever think, that mentally ill, unmedicated, hiding writer and dissnter me.. might be watching the same sunrise as you in your miserable ivory tower... supposing... you didn't have to let your mind be made by John Preston... maybe Mary... had it right.... it's 6:40 am I did say some stuff to you that could get me in trouble, but.... *I felt*... and *I cared* and *I tried*... I don't really need a cell as much as i made it sound... I can troll switching numbers on my smart phone for free, technically... I am just so damn. ALONE. and only b/c I live in a nation where most everyone I meet is utterly asleep.... Cesar and Stalin-- neither are friends of mine. I stand with dreamers, with writers, with herbalists and small towners... with people who laugh or sing or cut up... do you really want future writers to writers to writers what they're told? I have already myself taken down most of my late writing under my own identity. And ''Murica's pills aren't stopping WWIII atm... they're helping us find it. I may not be brave enough to believe in religion or psychic ability in the face of mental healthcare today... but... one way or another I know you're about to read this. Do. And stand with people you respect... can i ask you... are a patriot? i'm merely talking protesting... and.. you have money... and no one would ever know... just buy with cash... a 16 gig tracfone with a $20 90 day no-registery subscription is a Anon Troll's best friend... I love McDonald's, and.. feel free to give me a gift card to it.... or a restaurant you support... rich lady who can't find happiness... I found mine when I fell and woke up. And... some things... like being silent and guilty thereby during genocide by flying robots with missiles that make Arnie look like a flaccid wang... some things really are worse than death. Do the right thing. Mail me a phone. Reply. Somehow. Let me know *someone* I know... actually understands... that the same People who already massacred and *ended* countless native races in the name of Western Expansionism while saying they had only done that in the distant past a few generations ago... have not changed a bit. I am one of them. I was a slave for 17 years, and no prison ship for me... my brain was my prison. And.... I am thankful. Cause it did take that to rid me of this nonsensical idea that "success" isn't really all that great. When you go for the antidepressants... go watch the sunrise... and tell me.. it is rising now, here... that you think I really don't know what I'm talking about. Love and Light-- I will die free before I help my People kill more innocent children in the Middle East. No one but you is responsible for your actions.

expand.
worst because you disagree with it? why?
worst because you dislike the writing style?
this is why the quality of threads on /lit/ are poor and, consequently, only shit-posters remain here....creating more bad threads

It's a great book and there are few other redpilled books like it on the subject of the media, let alone by leftists whatsoever.
Not OP and I don't think it's the worst, but the times I have read Chomsky I found his style to be excruciatingly dry. It's like the academy drilled him in some rigid writing process and he can't undo their programming.
The impression that I get from it is something like... Point -> "And this is why I am right." -> "And this is why I am right." -> "And this is why I am right." -> "And this is why I am right." -> "And this is why I am right." -> "And this is why I am right." -> "And this is why I am right." -> "And this is why I am right." -> ...
And by the time he is finished hammering that one point, which I was ready to provisionally accept some lines back, I am irritated rather than eager to find out where he is going to take it next. Because all I have to look forward to is more "And this is why I am right."
>"Moby," said I, "suck my Dick."
What the fuck

I'm so gratified to see the meme I made being posted
tfw more Faulkner and Roth than Nabokov in muh canon.
Really long articles of literary criticism.
Preferably critical and written by a man, like this for example:
http://exiledonline.com/david-foster-wallace-portrait-of-an-infinitely-limited-mind/
Also any dealing with postmodernism.
I wish there was a source for this stuff. Browsing through the New Yorker trying to find them was a real hassle.
So do any of you have any favorites bookmarked?

Mr. Difficult by John Franzen is a nice read. Better if you've read William Gaddis first
Shitty fanfiction that you've found https://m.fanfiction.net/s/12454995/1/Finding-Negro

Pleb of plebs.
I'm pretty sure fanfiction is banned here
Can an Mise-en-scène / aethetisicm focused piece of writing (novel for example) ever be as distinguised as a dramatic novel.
Wilde and Keroauc famously championed art over life, but is it possible to create a novel in this style that is on the same level as, say Moby Dick. Are we forever doomed to always rank "human / effectively grounded" books above primarily experimentally inclined ones?

I didn't even know they do this shit? Do I stop and start again or finish it and reread it a year later?
just finish it, perfectionism can fuck things up for people, reading most of a good book is better than reading none of it
You dun goofed

The Penguin version isn't abridged though.
Hey /lit/
Can someone help me translate this to english? Into an understandable english.
>pic unrelated
>>thx
Kant's concept of reason draws its outline from its contrast to the concept of the (intellect//wits). Reason stands for the "highest power of perception" and designates the "domain of principles." While reason proceeded a priori and is purely conceptually-oriented, the intellect/wits constructs through the process of experience as spontaneous result of so-characterized receptive sensuality (sense-ness). After Kant reason becomes a homogeneous domain; theoretical and practical reason become mutually inseparable.
idk something like that
thank you so much matte
it already started to make some sense
I have a fantasy story I am thinking about with tons of characters. Do I make it heroes journey and have it filtered through the experience of one main character, or do I do big sprawling ensemble that tells the story of all of them?

>tons of characters
If this is your first novel, don't write something too big; you'll lose interest.
Has anyone got access to "Existencialism: From Dostoevsky to Nietzsche"?

Do you mean 'From Dostoevsky to Sartre'?
