Is "chaotic turmoil" an appropriate adjective clause? I am a foreigner writing a research paper that will shake the literary world from its very foundations, but i can't seem to decide on that clause.

I don't want to get memed by dificult stream of consciousness :(

Here's an article you should check out. I know David Foster Wallace is popular on this board but he's actually pretty sexist, as seen in this article.

Can't read his stuff now, at least we know though.

Everyone and everything is sexist if written from the "right" perspective. It's a meaningless term.

What's up with this sudden influx of supposedly radical feminist ideas? Is /pol/ trying to "convert" this board? Please i don't want this here.

You have 15 seconds to justify how you deal with the male gaze when reading cis male authors. I personally, have started to reject some male authors and just men in general in favour of female/third sex.

Discuss female only books, no males please.

One part of this book doesn't make any sense to me. Deckard travels to the Rosen Association in order to test the validity of the Voigt-Kampff test. He's greeted by Elder Rosen who tells him to test Rachael, his supposed niece. My understanding is that the intention was to lie to Deckard about Rachael not being an Android, with the idea being that if the Voigt-Kampff test failed to tell a human apart from an android, this meant that the police had not recourse for shutting down production of the Nexus-6 units. Everything so far makes sense. The part that doesn't make any sense is why the fuck after successfully convincing Deckard that Rachael is human do they then try to bribe him into lying to the police about the test working fine? I thought the intention was to convince the police that the test didn't work so that they wouldn't have a reason to shut down production of the Nexus 6. The Rosen Association's intentions make absolutely no sense.

That's pretty much all wrong. Read it again.

The wolf stood proudly on the crooked cliff that beared a harsh coldness. With red eyes of dominance dimly lit up by the chilling moon. The wolf's pearl coat painted with glistening snow. Then the wolf lifted his head up and let out a battlecry that declared he owns the land and everything in it.

Do you vocalize when reading? Do you "hear" your own thoughts in your head?

I've always "seen pictures" while reading or thinking, but i discovered that most people don't.

I think this explains, why i don't like literary, flowery stuff or even poems. What is the point of beautiful language if you don't hear it?

why does it cost 900 dollars?

It's the author setting a fake price.

Protip if you haven't figured it out yet college literature is written by committee. Thomas Pynchon is a group project.

This is a media stunt.

There are numerous boards dedicated to greenposting. I've worked on these threads like no tomorrow, but no board really has the general feel for writing. Should I post my work here, and will people read it? Is there a board specifically designated for creative writing?
I am a novelist, but love getting the feedback that this site can provide.

There are usually critique threads on here.

and here's a poetry-specific one >>7990575
If there isn't one in the catalogue when you want to post you can make one, but don't make a thread just about yourself, it's poor form.

Reading this for the first time, from an existentialist perspective. Oscillating between fascination and complete boredom. There's a very long boring phase that really depresses me in the way anyone gets when disappointed by a classic when BAM, you find out how the murder really went down. You think it doesn't get any more dark and compelling than this when in the next chapter Satan appears.

Compound this with the fact that I was literally JUST watching Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal and was captivated by the knight's line. "They say you've been in league with the devil . . . I, too, want to meet him." She asks why. "I must ask him about God. He must know, or else nobody does."

In Brothers, page 597 of Dover Thrift Edition,

"Is there a God or not?" Ivan cried with the same savage intensity."
"Ah, then you are in earnest! My dear fellow, upon my word I don't know. There! I've said it now!"

Sorry for the long mostly nonsensical post. In the tradition of existentialism I didn't want to prove anything but share the experience of this book for me right now. Thoughts on this? Brothers in general? Dostoyevsky in general?
