Since Kindergarten I've been a shit artist. I've never been able to draw, I tried learning, but with no significant improvements I got frustrated and quit.
The only artistic talent I posses is in writing. I love coming up with ideas for stories with fun characters and cool worlds, but I always get discouraged when I realize that the characters in my head will always be confined to text due to my own inability to bring them to life in the way I want them to be.
How do you guys get over this feeling? I know I could meet an illustrator but then it feels like the vision isn't entirely my own. The only talent I have is via a dead media.

How do you guys deal with this suffocating feeling that you're never going to absorb all the knowledge you would like to before your death? It scaries me so much that in my lifetime I'm never going to be able to enjoy all the great pieces of art and essays men produced that for some long periods of time I, dispirited, just quit reading.

It could have been funny. It could have been funny and my friend would have laughed with me. Instead, the retarded prole faggot who made that just picked a random story's opening two paragraphs and lazily replaced every adjective. I hope he gets AIDS and dies.

I'm looking for the book version of pic related.
I would like to read some viking fantasy fiction. Something like... vikings pillaging shit, fighting draugr, maybe a novel about Ragnarök, fiction about the Norse gods, stuff like that, as long as it is epic and interesting.
I know about the Poetic and Prose Eddas obviously but I'm thinking more about authors that are still/recently active.

so, i was looking through some books and my local bookstore and saw the Song of Ice and Fire franchise. Having never read any of the books and never watched Game of Thrones, which book should i get?
I would get the first one, a Game of Thrones, but i couldn't seem to find it. i am 100% sure they had books 3, 4 and 5.

As it stands, it's up to the predominant style of the editing/publishing house or even country as to which one is more right or acceptable.

Article very relevant. Basically a library should be acquired that consists of books you havent read to give it value, otherwise it is just for vanity.
IE go to used book stores and yard sales and buy books you havent read.
