That's a trick question: none of them are actual poets.

Post a poem from each
Tao should have never told Mira about us. Now she won't stop viraling.
Ay mane let's see that handwriting.
>b...but I type!
All the more reason to show it, scrabblehands.
Pic related is about a year old, some things might have changed.
Here you go. My notes on Hegel and his thing about the Death of Art.
Your handwriting is exceedingly neat OP.
There's already a handwriting thread somewhere around here, op. You blew it.
What are the best of the best books to learn about any and all mythology and folklore? Abrahamic stuff counts, too.
I want to learn everything for a universe I'm making in my spare time.
Folklore is anything from regular classic folklore to other stuff like Springheeled Jack, 20th century alien stuff, ghost stories (Bloody Mary), conspiracy theories, etc.

Can't you see summer is fucking this place over enough?
I'm curious of perspectives outside of my own so, anxiety thread. Share your experiences.
Reason I ask is because I'm writing about self deprecative insecurity, and the resulting anxiety. Sometimes self consciousness can be crippling to the point that you narcissistically become obsessed with hating and analysing yourself. Typically, my social anxiety doesn't manifest in the midst of conversation (although it can), but rather in an aftermath of contemplation. If you've ever had a drunken stupor of introspection then you know the feeling.
Also any recommendations on books with themes of anxiety would be great.
Two great works on this kind of thing:

The problem is thinking.
It can't, therefore, be solved with thinking.
There are ways to control and stop thinking. You have to find them. It's called professional help.

Personally not looking for help, but I appreciate it. Just intrigued by anxiety and am curious about other people here opening up with their encounters with it in general.
>>8117753
Enjoy your drama.
I'm righting my first novel ever.
Should I make it first person or third person? Which is better?

>>8117592
maybe give us some context?
>>8117610
why would there be a particular context? honestly this is an everyday skill that I have somehow come to exist without.
>It's a steeply and marathe chapter
yeah they're not so good
>>8117584
I mean they're alright, I just feel like they drag on a bit
>it's a Pemulis chapter
Serious question:
How do you guys handle it personally when you receive harsh artistic/aesthetic criticism of your work? I want to put aside any debate about whether a particular work is good or not good. I'm more interested in what you do when you've created something which has strong resonance and is aesthetically poignant for you and someone who's opinion you respect trashes it?
How do we know if it is actually good or not? Is it good enough for it to just satisfy ourselves? If so what's the point in publishing?
I'm keen to just have a discussion about this. Has this happened to you before?
Also before anyone mentions it: yes, suicide is an option

What does /literature/ think of this book and Author?
>>8117180
Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs are pretty good, the rest of the Hannibal series is shit. Just like the movies
This is almost irrelevant and belongs on /tv/, but of the two films based on Red Dragon (book), Manhunter by far superior to Red Dragon (film)
Just watch the show "Hannibal" and read something else.
>gf is fantasing about rape and getting off to fuck-machine porn
any philosophical/psychological literature on the depth of female sexuality? freudian or otherwise
right now can't tell whether to trash my gf or go with it
>>8117052
maybe you should get pissed off and say that shit is awful. or maybe she's a victim of sexual assault, and that's a common coping strategy. If you're uncomfortable, just sit down and say, yo this shit makes me feel weird and I don't like it. You shouldn't roll with what you're uncomfortable with.
fiction but two of the sexiest books on freudianism and female sexuality:
>The White Hotel by DM Thomas
>Gordon by Edith Templeton
>>8117076
Freud was full of shit. Psychoanalysis was debunked.
