https://www.freecodecamp.org/challenges/diff-two-arrays
function diffArray(arr1, arr2) {
var empty = [];
for (var i=0; i<arr2.length; i++) {
var firstOccurence = arr1.indexOf(arr2[i]);
if (firstOccurence === -1) {
empty.push(arr2[i]);
}
}
var empty2 = [];
for (var n=0;n<arr1.length;n++) {
var firstOccurenceInarr2 = arr2.indexOf(arr1[n]);
if (firstOccurenceInarr2 === -1) {
empty2.push(arr1[n]);}
}
return empty.concat(empty2);
}
diffArray(["andesite", "grass", "dirt", "dead shrub"], ["andesite", "grass", "dirt", "dead shrub"]);
i literally cant sleep i am so worried how stupid i am
Jung thread.
I recently started with Man and his Symbols. I must say, Jordan Peterson is like a pop-culture version of this guy. I never knew how dark his his philosophy was.pls no derail
Hey anon, good one. I recommend reading Memories, Dreams, Reflections. It hardly ever gets mentioned on here in Jung threads, but it is like an autobiography that focuses mainly on the development of Jung's personal philosophy that supports his theories. It gives you a good foundation for the theories, and also a personal historical context to better understand them. It's also beautiful to read. Don't skip it!
>>9911392
Thanks, I'll check it out.
He's basically insane. He should be relegated to /x/. I mean its not like we have threads on Terrence Mckenna or Manly P Hall or even Alan Watts, so why does this guy and Peterson get a pass?
When Girard says that man is too weak to desire and he needs the strength of the other to desire and through imitation is able to find the strength to desire, is he creating a Big Other that has the strength to "desire authentically" or is he commenting on our habit of creating a Big Other who has "the strength to desire authentically"?
Obviously confused.
>>9911163
Why does he look like Derrida's evil twin
every pua asshole under the sun has the insight that women want what they think other women want, which is why you get chads that get 80% of the pussy because once one chick wants them they all do, so did girard ever develop anything beyond pua-tier pseudo insights? why should i order one of this overpriced books?
>>9911163
He's basically trying to avoid saying he's personnally too weak to desire. It's a diary entry presented as a blanket statement.
>not reading only to have a better imagination, and therefore better lsd trips
>>9911135
>he thinks lsd trips are a projection of his own mind
>not hyper-reality
absolute brainlet
>toiling over books only to heighten your brain fry
shambles, truly.
>drug effects are influenced by the imagination
Just finished this and I enjoyed it rather a lot.
Are there any other "classic" biographies you can recommend? Wiki has nothing. Or "classic" nonfiction in general.
Carlye's Frederick the Great is next on my list.
Got the one volume edition of this. How’s it read? The size is very intimidating.
reading this now
its fucking kino
>>9910843
first volume is very very readable. Did it in two sittings.
Next two drag a little more as the time frame is considerably expanded and theres a whole bunch of Trotsky being autistsic at some minute detail of policy.
Who are your favourite booktubers, /lit/? Mine's pic related, ForTheLoveOfRyan

Will it happen? Will we ever see this?
>>9909811
Or this?
>>9909811
Winds yes, we can make up about 10% from released chapters already and it should be released within the next two years.
I am very doubtful about ADOS though, although I imagine some of it has been written already

He's going to pull a Robert Jordan, isn't he?
Who do you think the greatest geniuses of all time are? Not necessarily the people with the highest processing power or speed, but the people whose work makes you wonder how a human being could possibly think in such a unique or creative way.
for me it's a toss up between Nietzsche, Bach/Beethoven, Siddhartha, Zhuangzhi, and Shakespeare
>no Goethe or Dante
Way to go
>>9909706
You're a fuckin moron
Leibniz
Nietzsche, Bach/Beethoven, Siddhartha, Zhuangzhi, and Shakespeare are LIGHT YEARS behind

>he doesn't even watch 90 minute long extemporaneous philosophical debates taking place in British parliament
What are you, a pleb?
>>9908975
This is very cool. I wish we had a more developed debate culture in the US. Debate in American culture is relegated to courtroom dramas.
>>9908975
Why can't Rees-Mogg be PM? I'd vote for him over May any day.
>>9908975
Mogg's body language is so fucking dismissive. The guy just exudes class superiority
He may just be another subversive Jew but boy is he right about everything. I can't think of a single refutation to any of his points. We're all LARPing hypocrites.
Another one cucked by philosophy
Feels good, man
>>9907820
That doesn't matter, he's still correct.
i don't get why people get so flustered about derrida, structuralism wasn't some integral foundation of western civilization or someshit, it wasn't even a 100 years old before derrida killed it, in a 1000 years the whole thing will be like two paragraphs in a history of western thought textbook
The old thread got archived.
Let's post our recent acquisitions and stacks. Here are my recent buys in the language of Pear Shaker.

Have you been able to touch on "Life of the Mind" yet? You may like it, especially after reading how to understand what may or may not lead to people becoming nazis. While reading LOTM you'll have flashbacks and laugh to your self "ah, thats what she meant in the origins.
