>have trouble managing anxiety

Senpai, just fuck my shit up. Life isn't enjoyable anymore.

Anxiety seems like such a bullshit thing.
I've never seen this thread before.

that's because you're thinking of depression

Time in Porcelain
The death far away is silent
The death far away is short
A blue sky looks down at me
What earthly affair could break my green reverie?
What end of life could ever make me want some more?
If your favorite day stalks then the gray is at a core
If your next trip shoots then one thinks into four
Lines of paper await to be inked
Several books of eternity lie in the eye of a blink
Took me away did the city did say to another
Vale of trees, flowers, and white do wait for two brothers
Stay free away to see drink water as cold as ice to hold back feelings like rubber
I do know the light is my lover
Morning at the Lake
Blue shines by the sun cloud
Can I see flowers, pedals, colored loud?
My gloves' black leather touching a tree's wood smudges dust
If I could stay then I wish time would rust
If I could forever see and keep my air, my light, and my ever eye to your contour
your affix
your shapes and arrays of pleasant
scents
I would then breathe what could never descend
Silver, gold, white, purple
these serve as ornamanets
a circle
ornaments surrounded by countless
green leaves
I do like the swan, the dove, the
pidgeons and purple
Beyond the tree
Fresh air dashes about
I kiss you on my knees
Gold, White, and Red
Gold strikes the remainder at
the grave
to shine metallic sunlight by
a evening set
A dream of sky resplendent
as I regret
Blinding light cooler ice
can not dampen
Run away from the fire that did happen
white pure clean shpes the
walls around me
white reams of cloth that
dress and hide your body
thin like a bird's wing
span
Across according to fingers
that feel white and amber
Red that tastes like fruit
blood from the kick of the
boot
red as the apple from the
garden of ruins
Gold, white, and Red for luna
A Ray Flies in the Black night
Yellow streaks across the plane
Reap for the September is
Lightning bolt looking down at
us
If I see you clearly could you
then trust?
Purple with bulbs of light
what to me is holy is what
is right
To you it should not be folly
to fight for what is night
Statutes with heads see that
I am wearing black shoes
but my feeling or sense of darkness is what the day
does lose
If I chose to pick a square
then is it my fault what I
bring home
Hello and goodbye; whatever beyond
we would say on the phone
Jet black as the hair through
your comb
Trying to outline what a strike has shown
very bad
I'm hoping to diversify my reading list, and I'm looking for some good contemporary novels written by African-American men. Can I get some suggestions?
A Brief History of Seven Killings

https://msu.edu/~tyrrell/theogon.pdf
That one is decent, don't read Pope for Homer tho. Go with Fitzgerald.
Don't follow the shitty philosophy section either. Read Magee's Story of Philosophy.
How much Greek phil do you want to read?
All of it?
Just enough to get a gist?

Why would you ever torture yourself like that

It is even worse. He bases his philosophy on pseudoscientific psychoanalysis.

Is there a novel with a high school setting which isn't YA trash?
I'll settle for genre fiction if it at least has some literary merit.
>>8324190
my hs diary desu
>>8324200
I think I explicitly said no YA trash.
>genre fiction
>some literary merit
I don't read much but I just read the first 200 pages of this. Why does Richard use the possessive gerund in casual conversation when he's supposed to be a scruffy punk rock college bad boy. I mean, the possessive fucking gerund? And am I seriously supposed to sympathize with this Patty? What a cunt. I can't believe he made me read 150 pages of that autobiography. And then I looked ahead and there is still more to the autobiography later on? What the fuck?

The answer to all of these questions is that Franzen's a hack.
>>8324185
time ill spent: reading Franzen. Fuck me the man has less soul than a corporation.
>>8324185
Franzen is notorious for making characters that are hard to sympathize with. It's part of the whole thing. Most people don't like most people. It's okay to dislike characters for their personalities. Don't disengage because of it. That's just the sign of an incompetent reader. It would be one thing if the character(s) was flat or poorly written/developed. Not the case with almost all of Franzen's latest efforts. If there's one thing he can do, it's write characters. His plot structuring is also pretty fucking great. Just keep reading it.
Why the hell do hardcover books have to cost like 20 dollars and usually like 50 dollars because they're always out of print and people like to scalp people from their money? I mean, you see good quality pressings of books for like 12 dollars in hardcover, and that's not a bad deal, that's only a couple bucks more than most paperback books cost. So how come they're so scarce? How come I always have to resort to buying paperback because there's no reasonably priced hardcover books?
They are expensive because they are made in smaller batches because people don't buy hardcover books because paperbacks are cheaper
>>8324157
Yeah but it shouldn't be that way.

One of the few things I don't mind with Fry is his language use stuff, although I'm not keen on his brand image thing.

What a shitty fucking comic.
Not only is it right to left, but the second text is even printed bold so your eyes are naturally drawn to it.
Fucking garbage, just mirror the original picture
