The Invisible Science | Magical Egypt

youtu.be/7V5tFg7PvNA

John Anthony West is today the leading authority and proponent of the 'Symbolist' school of Egyptology

In the Symbolist view, Egyptian architecture and art disclose a richer and more universal wisdom than conventional Egyptology has assumed

In this pioneering study West documents that: Hieroglyphs carry hermetic messages that convey the subtler realities of the Sacred Science of the Pharaohs

Egyptian science, medicine, mathematics, and astronomy were more sophisticated than most modern Egyptologists acknowledge. Egyptian knowledge of the universe was a legacy from a highly sophisticated civilization

JAW on R. A. Schwaller de Lubicz

youtu.be/szjrhkFXXO0

One of the most important philosophers, mathematicians

R. A. Schwaller de Lubicz was a French occultist, student of sacred geometry and Egyptologist known for his twelve-year study of the art and architecture of the Temple of Luxor in Egypt and his subsequent book The Temple In Man

This is an initiation into the tone, structure, and mentality of Egyptian knowledge

It is a redefinition of those concepts which are basic to the pharaonic transmission--the glory of ancient Egypt.

The author explores the "process of becoming" as related to consciousness and revealed in nature; the kinship between man and the mineral, plant and animal kingdoms; the stages of awareness leading to "Cosmic Consciousness"; and the mystery of the formation of substance into matter

His elucidation of the temple at Luxor and his presentation of the Egyptian understanding of a special quality of innate consciousness form a bridge that links the sacred science of the Ancients to its rediscovery in our own time

There is a Door Inside Your Head No One Told You About

youtu.be/8KjPU6eQeu0

Ancient Egypt was a civilization that possessed exalted knowledge and achievements, both materially and spiritually

The Temple of Man is a monument to inspired insight, conscientious scholarship, and exacting archaeological groundwork that represents a major contribution to humanity's perennial search for self-knowledge and the prehistoric origins of its culture and science

This exhaustive and authoritative study reveals the depths of the mathematical, medical, and metaphysical sophistication of Ancient Egypt

The monumental Temple of Man represents the most important breakthrough in our understanding of Ancient Egypt since the discovery of the Rosetta stone.

After thirty years in the Navy, my father retired to a beach house in Thailand where he lived with a pair of teenaged ladyboys.

My name is Sam Harris and I want to say something to everyone on this board. Last week, I took an online IQ test without preparing for it at all. It showed me to be in the 99.9th percentile for IQ.

My mother's boyfriend of 8 years is a Philosopher who graduated Virginia Tech. At the age of 49, I understand religion better than him, and I owe very little of it to him, as he would rarely give me a decent explanation of anything, just tell me that my ideas were wrong and become aggravated with me for not quite understanding free will. He's not particularly successful as a philosopher, but I've met lots of other philosophers who aren't as good as me at physics. I'm also pretty good at Middle Eastern geopolitics. I don't have a degree, and other than physics I don't have a better understanding of any aspect of Islam than any actual theologian, but I have lots of ingenuity for making broad generalisations. I have independently thought of basically every branch of philosophy I've come across. Every question of existentialism which I've seen discussed in SMBC or xkcd or Reddit or anywhere else, the thoughts haven't been new to me. Philosophy has pretty much gotten trivial for me.

I've considered taking a philosophy course just to see how easy it is. Religion, I actually understand better than people with degrees. Unlike engineering, there's no aspect of foreign policy which I don't have a very good understanding of. I can debunk many of even Noam Chomsky’s theories. I'm a good enough writer that I'm writing a book and so far everybody in /pol/ who's read any of it has said it was really good and plausible to expect to have published. And that's not just, like, me and family members, that counts strangers on the Internet. I've heard zero negative appraisal of it so far. The following are some examples of my morals and ethical code. I believe firmly that Islam deserves no future. If I were the president after 9/11, I would be for a nuclear response. In fact, I'd even support the concept of nuking the Muslim world. This is essentially because I think that whoever you are, if you have ideas that are dangerous, it would be ethical to punish them simply for the sake of punishment, especially if you are a muslim. I believe in profiling of people based on their race and religion.

I consider myself an intellectual. I don't believe in peer review; they may happen naturally, but it should never be coerced into happening unnaturally. In closing, the people who know me in real life all respect me, as do a great many people in the /pol/ community, where I spend most of my time and where I'm pretty known for being helpful around the community. A lot of people in my segment of the community are depressed or going through hard times, and I spend a lot of time giving advice and support to people there. And, uh, I'm a pretty good scholar. All that, and I think your behavior here is totally assholish. So what do you think, now that you at least slightly know me?

Start at the beginning of modern philosophy which requires the start of the medieval philosophy so then start with the greeks but make sure to start with the pre socratics. A working knowledge of early greek history will help. I think some knowledge of Babylonian philosophy will help you understand the most fundamental of questions too though, so maybe start with them first.

I'm considering reading Alan Watts book: "The book". Is it any good? I enjoy his lectures that you can find on youtube. Is the language hard? im not native english speaker.

If you enjoy his lectures you'll enjoy the book, you can actually read the entire thing in his voice desu. The accessibility to Watts is the clear concise language he uses mixed with his mild cavalier delivery

Some philosophers say that our senses could deceive us, and if all reality can only be experienced through our senses, then nothing can be taken as granted. There is no truth.

However, since all we know comes from our senses, we should not state that all truth is relative. Through empirism, we can understand an event, and through many other tests come to the realization that the event will only happen at x and y conditions. If through more tests, that theory is not proven wrong, we can call it a truth.

And if reality can only be perceived through our senses, then our senses are reality, and the truth is contained inside that reality.

yea but not all we know comes from our senses. At least for me since my mind operates outside of matter.

That is not a proof of causation in the external world, and there are a lot of conceptual problems with "proving" something like causation empirically even if you surrender proving it for all cases, as an objective rule.

Also, the last line is a very tricky form of representationalism that has been debunked in different forms and in more thorough debunkings by generations upon generations of philosophers.
