Anyone here read this? Probably one of my favourite pieces of science fiction. I was thinking about reading it again. Anyone knows something similar? Outside of Blake, that is.
No OP but I've been looking for a pdf/epub of it for a while now.

Curious novel hurt by lack of proofreading
I am currently not religious and I'm intrigued by the Orthodox Church and it's teachings, so, is there a 'reading list' (like pic related) that I should follow once I read the Bible (OSB)?
Got another Christian literature chart, primarily history, not sure if anything on it will be of interest though.
I also personally recommend reading the KJV Bible at some point once you've finished the Orthodox Study Bible. Whether you agree with the theology or not, the language itself is both beautiful and haunting and makes it worth reading.

An Orthodox priest recommended me pic related, it covered pretty much everything I could think of purely in regards to Orthodoxy.

Read Zealot, so you can reaffirm the common suspicion that Jesus was a terrorist who tried to undermine the glory of the Roman Empireand kinda-sorta won.

How do I become a Stoic?
Wikipedia
just kys

Go to a hip university and socialize as long as you can until you cannot take it anymore and realize that stoicism is the only way to preserve your sanity.
No mentor or book needed.
I just bought Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. Will this make me a better man?
No, but maybe reading it will. Sage

"Do not at large discuss what a good man is like; be one."
— Marcus Aurelius desu.
Was it autism?
I read the first part. It seems to me he was trying to create a 'cool' Christian mythology (at least with Christian values about justification of the existence of bad etc) to educate the young.
Faenor did nothing wrong.

Of course.
Much like the fact that boat is triggering me. The cover would look so much better without its wretched influence.
Billie Holiday’s “I’ve got my love to keep me warm” plays quietly over my laptop speakers. I wouldn’t normally listen to music made before my birth date, but it’s christmas, and i’m not exactly spoiled for choice. Christmas music was never my favorite, but I wanted to set the mood for my first night alone in nearly six months. Lying under a thick blanket, an adult onesie, and a stained bathrobe that hasn’t been washed in as many months, I’m content, although my face and ears are warm from the hood of my onesie. I would prefer to be in my bedroom, but the freezing cold outside has rendered that impractical. The heater provides a gentle transition from one song to the next. Louis Armstrong’s “Christmas in New Orleans” plays. His voice is more what I’m looking for tonight.
Looking through the threads of an often frequented internet board there appears before me a post which, owing to my current predisposition engendered in me by my life in general and moreover this particular creative instance, I choose to engage in and therewith engage thoroughly, going so far as to complicate my grammar for reasons that amuse me and might, should I be lucky, annoy someone else. My mind is of being called the absolute worst, which usually relates to my genitalia - or more precisely, that genitalia of which I am imagined to be in possession by someone probably quite remote from myself.
But I digress. I proceed into the thread and am confronted by a digressive text by someone presumably far younger than myself whose primary concerns is a piece of clothing I would never conceive of buying, let alone wearing should some unfortunate series of events force my acquisition thereof. My mind brings me to question the nature of my visit, offer some alternatives to my mind as to what, or if, there will be a response to my own or to the older post, all in line with that intellection which is characteristic of this myself and proceeding with what I hope is a suitably frictive manner of expression, so as to engender in myself and those reading this a new moment in thought.

How many pages into Infinite Jest did you get before you realized you'd been tricked?
236, for me.
68 I think. After the incident with the guy who was gonna smoke that ton of weed, and then Hal smoking in the facilities led me to realize that this was gonna be a 1000 page PSA

I own it and if I were you I'd read the stuff in English first because I have no idea how are any of the translations except for The Brothers Karamazov which is fair according to the thread I made on here recently. If I wasn't lazy I would post all the translator's names on here and ask if they're good or not.

What is the connection between SJWs and YA fiction?
I've noticed a heavy overlap between the adult fandom of Harry Potter and people who won't stop shrieking about Trump
>>8865163
I'd love to be able to live in a bubble of ignorance like that
>>8865163
YA fiction is often about impressionable youth "finding their way in the world" and contending with issues of teenage identity and self-discovery, which is the SJW's playground.
>>8865163
The connection is just that both communities are on tumblr.
