yeah, sometimes libgen doesn't deliver
This is Buridans Ass. He must choose between two identical piles of hay and starves. DonĀ“t be like Buridans Ass.
I don't think Asses care that much about moral implications of choices. I think he'd just pick the one that caught his eye first.

maybe, but ask yourself the same question?
>>9953273
Uh, yeah, that's why I ask my friends if I can't decide
Has anyone read this? Is it actually descriptive or one of those completely out of touch thousand-feet-up academic overviews that was written by someone that spent only a few days here.
She did a podcast, you tell us.

You know, /lit/ used to be very liberal.
Im not sure where to post this where I can get the best advice. Let me know.
Im thinking of taking the second writing course for my general eds this semester but I know that I will have to submit a 10 page paper at the end of the course.
Im not very good at writing, especially about subjects that I could care less about. Has anyone had experience with paying someone else to write a paper for them?
Ive thought about it but im so worried that I will get a recycled paper that I cant check the authenticity of and I will be caught for plagiarism. Has anyone tried this?
Where can I find a service that I can trust? I dont know anyone personally that would do it for me.

Try Kevin McDonald's Culture of Critique Series to realize why he was so influential in (((academia)))
You can pretty much dive into Truth and Method after you're familiar with Heidegger and with idealist hermeneutics. Gadamer also has many good essays, some collected in the volume "Philosophical Hermeneutics" which you can read right after T&M. From there, whichever of his monographs/essays interest you - his short book on Hegel is pretty OK, and he has one on scientific worldview or something like that.
The more familiarity you have with the hermeneutic circle and German dialectical thinking, and in particular Heidegger's conception of truth as disclosure, the better off you'll be.
I liked this book as a general intro to hermeneutics:
>Hermeneutics: Interpretation Theory in Schleiermacher, Dilthey, Heidegger, and Gadamer

Thanks a lot!
What literature are you masturbating to?
And how?
Lolita obviously and with a lubed up real life of sebastion knight wrapped around my schlong

Gravity's Rainbow, for some reason all the talk about erections gets me a bit hot. I wank into my hand, anon.
>at the public pool, surrounded by mexicans and fat people
>trying to do laps, but fat old ladies keep getting in my way
>unable to do any flip turns in fear of kicking some fatty in the face
>children are crying and screaming about god knows what
>as I rest from a set of laps, a fat mexican guy drops his hotdog on the floor in front of me and some of the mustard splatters onto my face
>he walks away without even looking at me though he clearly saw what happened
>Bewildered and in disbelief, I look around frantically for possible witnesses so that I can confront this asshole
>all the fat people busy swimming, I look up to the lifeguard, who had just put on a fresh new bandana to absorb the sweat dripping down his brow from the heat
>as we make eye contact, he flashes me a little mona lisa smirk
>"heh, welcome to the water, kid"

You aren't funny at all
I've recently started reading more and more classical books like the 'stranger' and 'the master and margarita', any suggestions on books that are really good but unknown? (Pic unrelated)

My diary tbdesu.
/lit/ recommended me or someone else Huysman's Against Nature/the Grain. I finished it yesterday and enjoyed it.
What does the future hold?
We ain't really capable of prediction
I don't use my phone a flashlight, so there!
But surely we can extropolate what's happening right now
I need to read this before school starts and that is tomorrow. I don't have the $22 for it, anyone know any sites that i can just read this and be done?
>>9952915
the book is on soulseek, just read it you shitty pseud
Does anyone have a good source for epub files? I've been taking the bus a lot recently and there are a few books I've been wanting to read on the bus. So far, I've been really enjoying Chris Jericho's second book "Undisputed."
There are a few books I cannot find (for free) online right now
"The Best In The World (At What I Have No Idea)" by Chris Jericho (2014)
"No Is A Four Letter Word" by Chris Jericho (2017)
I was suggested to try libgen but neither are on there. So I was looking for a general website for epub books to read on my iPhone
OP here, I should point out I couldn't find them on the two sources in the sticky post either, so you don't think I'm ignoring forum etiquette
>>9952900
>wrestling bios
Unless it's JR or Vince, I can't imagine they'd be terribly interesting.
>>9952949
Actually Jericho's are really interesting thus far. It's mostly about the backstage politics he dealt with. On the topic of Vince, there are a lot of lashings and weird workings he goes into
>dude so my character says he has a perfect memory but on page 19 he claims to have put three spoonfuls of sugar in his tea even though on page 593 he says he takes his tea black so now he's an unreliable narrator lmao
GENIUS
wait, but, sugar doesn't make tea or coffee less black.

i heard that every year amazon fires the bottom 5% of employees and incentivizes the top 5%, and treats employees bad in general
where else can i buy books
Why not try abebooks or book depository, they're excellent Amazon subsidiaries

Is this a joke book or is there something I'm missing? Keep in mind I know next to nothing about the author.
Bataille is a brilliant genius guy and it's such a shame people read this tepid garbage out of historical context and think it's great on its own. It was maybe subversive or interesting or affirming of suppressed desires when Foucault read it and felt that it gave him a license to try out the old rusty trombone at the bathhouse, but now it's just fucking boring.
It's 90% women who read it, too. Women who think they're interesting because they read Story of the Eye.
>>9952843
What's worth reading of Bataille? And does this book have no redeeming features in this day and age?
I just honestly don't understand it
specifically works by Liu Cixin. I don't mind buying them if I can't pirate it. I am pretty sure I'd have good luck on chinese sites since it's all free there anyways, but I don't really know any or many.
It's already a bitch to find chinese editions of the books themselves on Amazon or so, audiobooks is another level then.
Any help would be very appreciated.
>>9952801
There's Ximalaya for one, but you can only download it by phone which makes it kind of a hassle.
>>9952884
And with that I also wonder if they're even official in the first place. It seems to me that they are simply done by some guy in a basement.
>>9952913
actually is. well, nevermind then. Would still be okay, but it's only downloadable on the app.
If someone has sites other Ximalaya, I'd appreciate it
