My apologies to those who don't follow Game of Thrones. And perhaps I should apologize to the GOT fans as well for this micro spoiler.
Season 7 episode 7 somewhere in the 2nd quarter of the show, Jon Snow goes full Jordan Peterson to explain the value of speaking the truth.
I doubt it's a coincidence.
I was at Coldplay this week and I'm pretty sure their latest hit is inspired by Peterson.
He is having a huge impact behind the scenes. I'm serious. We are witnessing history unfold.

That pic is retarded, peterson is the antithesis to that old fuckrick, who has never even begun to sort himself out.

I bring one of mine to work because I'd rather not cramp up my hand using ballpoints all day. Useless on triplicate paper though.
Is there anything more pretentious, more attention-seeking?
I do
I use a pilot metropolitan. Makes doing the monotonous signing of paperwork a bit less of a bore

Is that supposed to be the Whole Crew?

How can the human man even hope to stand against hedonism?
Step 1: read Brave New World
Step 2: read the Stoics, particularly Epictetus
Step 3: put what you have learned into practice, always remembering that desires are literally illusory and do not actually correspond to the pleasures they seek
Optional Step: convert to Christianity
>>9956411
Did all except convert to Christianity (culturally Catholic, but can't personally believe in a god). All it did was make me feel bad whenever I jerk off, fuck a slut or get wasted instead of doing so in blissful ignorance.
>>9956418
Did you actually try to stop any of those? Changing your life takes effort. Just keep in mind that we're designed to change.
Who's the first postmodern philosopher? is it Hegel?
No, it's Derrida.
>>9956385
you could call Nietzsche a proto post-modernist, his ideas on truth and morals certainly had a big influence on the movement
define postmodern. Its probably diogenes or someone from way back
What would happen if the Trinity had a meetup?
Peterson is celebrity Sam Harris type level.
I don't know how that is a trinity.
Nick Land should be one of them
Sadler is a boring academic and Cliff is some random pseud on YouTube. Peterson would dominate the conversation and be the only one to say anything vaguely interesting (but not that interesting)
Are there any books about noticably overweight teenagers who drink to much and smoke to much to the point where all these vices interfere with their life? Particularly teenagers who have no real social life with very few friends and no good friends or girlfriends?

Gordon walk past on his skateboard wreaking of smoke. A lot of the kids at my high school was doing drugs and having sex but I was focused on completing this novel I was writing. After school I would walk home and I had recently befriended Sarah, a soccer player whose parents were from France. She was really interested in my book and would come over to hear me talk about it. My mom really liked her and she and my mom went to the grocery store once said they had a blast. I was in the supreme state of creative and romantic tranquility when all at once she moves but goes the opposite way and she needs to start taking the bus and I stopped seeing her. I tried to play it cool but during that week at school I don't why but I kept avoiding her and really hating her, I don't know why. I am writing furiously and my mom keeps insinuating that I did something to upset her and I snapped at her too. Anyway, yesterday I got to get some fast food and there I see Gordon and Sarah.
read it all the way to the end, so i guess that's something

I need help trying to figure out how or when casandra was blinded prior to the sacrifice of iphygenia by Aeschylus.
>>9955983
Aeschylus didn't sacrifice Iphigenia, anon. Her daddy did, and that was before the start of the Trojan war, so way before the events in the Oresteia.
>>9955983
Kassandra isn't blind
>>9956265
I understand that, I'm trying to figure out when the writer of the story decided to blind Cassandra I can't seem to find in the story at what point she was blinded or if she has ever been blinded, blinded may not mean just loss of eyesite but like blocked vision or something.

Why Dogs are Dogs
By Anonymous
Dogs are dogs because they have four paws. Dogs are also dogs because they have waggy tails. My dog has a waggy tail and he loves me very much. Dogs can run very very fast and they love to chase squirrels. Cats also chase squirrels, but they would rather chase birds. Dogs don't chase birds and that is why they are dogs. My dog likes to swim. Sometimes my dog gets very wet and shakes himself off in front of us. My mom gets very mad at him and calls him a bad dog. When dogs are wet they smell very bad. My dog knows a lot of tricks, he can even lay down! Dogs also are dogs because they have a big wet tongue and they breathe alot when they are hot. Finally dogs are dogs because they couldn't be anything else.
Epic XD XD XD
>>9955915
You know this is the lamest possible way you could possibly sarcastically express your disapproval, right? Why don't you try something more creative? This is the literature board, after wall.
>>9955911
>dogs are dogs because they couldn't be anything else
they could be a good dog or a bad dog. Something is not simply what it inherently is, it takes on the characteristics of its very nature and being. A dog is not a dog. A dog is a reflection of nature, action and instinct, and further - its owner
