OP: is your fantasy saga's secondary title "Book (x) in the chronicles of (y)"?

also, who claims to have written a "mistery" novel if they can't even spell "mystery"?

did you mean "misery"? like Ivan Turgiditi's "Wet Socks"?

>3 novellas

>30 full length short stories

>over 100 poems

I've filled 15 notebooks front to back in the last 3 and a half years. I go through periods of writing rough draft after rough draft in 4-18 hour binges, and then i sort through the slush rewrite and rewrite.

That's just responsible, I only keep around $1000 in my checking account at any time in case someone steals my wallet.

I bet you really do believe the author gets 100% of the Amazon price.

Nobody here knows anything about anything.
>>
>>9298226
Of course I know that, ye fuckin dolt
I just didn't go through the process of working out the cuts that Amazon, the publisher, and the authors each get, find out how much of that $288 was shipping and handling, work out the numbers, all so that I can put an accurate price on there and ruin the spirit of the humor

I went out to the hazel wood,
Because a fire was in my head,
And cut and peeled a hazel wand,
And hooked a berry to a thread;
And when white moths were on the wing,
And moth-like stars were flickering out,
I dropped the berry in a stream
And caught a little silver trout.

When I had laid it on the floor
I went to blow the fire a-flame,
But something rustled on the floor,
And someone called me by my name:
It had become a glimmering girl
With apple blossom in her hair
Who called me by my name and ran
And faded through the brightening air.

Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips and take her hands;
And walk among long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done,
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.

Have one in mind? There's a bunch of them.

Got into an MFA program. What should I read or know before I start in the fall?

Thanks.

Hijacking this thread

What does it take to surpass pseudointellectualism and enter the realm of intellectualism?

Besides starting with the Greeks of course
>>
You're becoming the Chad of /lit/. MFA s are for those that have never truly suffered. You might produce a book or two to but they will quickly be forgotten. Nothing you make will stand the test of Time. Call me bitter but I am merely stating the truth. MFA programs are essentially the result of capitalism's arm . Pay enough to get what you want and you'll achieve it (mfas are notorious for being impossible to fail). Scholarships and what not are subsidized from that manner as well. Either way you are simply paying for an identity. This will trigger many but I bet you come from household that makes easily 60,k+ a year. You are what's wrong with literature

I wrote a lengthy prose poem earlier with the majority of it (about a page out of the, say, page and a third the poem takes up) being a single sentence. It isn't as tight as I want it, not nearly, but I'm glad I at least was able to shit it out.

the way he thought, his ideas are so...alien I can't even imagine a regular human being could have thought them. Granted a lot of his stuff is just a rehash of neitzsche and Sausure, But what is original is absolutely brilliant, not just in their implications and meaning but also in their presentation. Even the way he presents his ideas its like he LIVES them you know? Like what Walter Pater was talking about.

The sheer implications of his ideas are enough to occupy theorists and critics for like fucking decades. The way he sublimates his worldview hes like an ubermensch.

Had a short creative piece accepted by someone with a doctorate to use in their book on writing speculative fiction. Currently in the process of emailing them and saying that with the amount of words they've omitted, the story looks silly and requires me to edit it.

They insist I only make track changes though, what an ass.
