What the fuck is wrong with America?
I'm wondering what people think is the most literary instrument/has the greatest overlap with the literary lifestyle. I see threads every week with favorite album, etc. but haven't ever seen instruments discussed.
The harp.
>>9320016
playing an instrument well actually requires a modicum of talent and concentration, which /lit/ lacks in spades; thus, no threads
>>9320022
harps are just pianos for idiots.
Is anyone interested in a /lit/ Discord channel that I made (since there doesn't seem to be one for this board)?
No, because multiple discord channels exist for /lit/ that you're too stupid to have noticed.

Where are the links for them?

My half a meter dick. Also Christ.
All right, give it to me straight, /lit/. Is Faulkner a meme?
>>9319704
Faulkner, William. Dislike him. Writer of corncobby chronicles. To consider them masterpieces is an absurd delusion. A nonentity, means absolutely nothing to me.
>>9319725
Go to bed, vlad. You're drunk.
Top 5 author for me. Read his less artistic works if TSatF, AILD and Absalom aren't your taste.
Bought this!
What am i in for?

I don't read anything that has a score lower than 4.0 on goodreads. What is your cutoff point?
Congrats, you'll never read anything even mildly controversial or thought provoking and will have your book selection dictated by women in their late teens to early twenties.
you should probably have an opinion on what books you find interesting rather then the youthful hipsters that actually leave reviews for them
>>9319547
I dont like to throw around the word pleb, but there it is.
Those ratings are composed of teenaged girls and post-structuralist nu-males who rate books 1 star when they get triggered. You are the definition of pleb, and if critiquing a novel is to be done by consensus, then you might as well read only the NYT best-seller list.
KYS as they say
When I re-size the window of the chat program I use to communicate with the girl I love, the messages move. They're either at opposite sides of the window, or on top of each other, depending on how large the window is. When I'm in a bad mood and she is too, I re-size it so they're as far apart as possible, when I feel good about her and she feels good about me I re-size so that our messages appear on top of each other, intimately close. This seems like somewhat of a metaphor to me, it also seems incredibly ridiculous and idiotic.
apperanxe of text and letters doesnt mean anything
>>9319519
It's like poetry, itrhymes.
>>9319538
what's "apperanxe?"
What's /lit/ equivalent of sports anime\manga? I want heavy workouts, path to a dream, defeats, triumphs, in literature form.
>>9319398
Sport isn't literary.
Eyeshield 21, now git out.
Infinite Jest.
/trv/fag here looking for some guidance.
I've been to India seven times and am looking to go back again in autumn. As I've had more free time than usual, I'm trying to do more reading than I normally would. I would, ideally, like to find some works about the places I'm going which are both informative and entertaining. Over the past few months I've read "Shantaram" and "City of Djinns." I bought "The Lowland" by Jhumpa Lahiri and "The White Tiger" by Aravind Adiga.
Each book I've listed is about India and I'd like to find a few more - whether they're fiction or non-fiction doesn't matter.
I'm also going to Ecuador in May, Mexico in June, Tanzania in July, and probably Egypt and Ethiopia afterward as well. Any recommendations pertaining to East Africa or Latin America would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Random OC pic from India attached.
