Hey literatos, here's a question for y'all: what philosophers would you say are key if one would want to get into the psychological field (mainly psychoanalytic approach, but other currents are welcome).
The thing is I want to get into Freud and Lacan, but I wouldn't go in bareback

Freud: Heraclitus, Empedocles, Aeschylus, Sophocles, Plato, Darwin, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche
Lacan: de Saussure, Kant, Hegel, Marx, Heidegger, Jaspers, Bataille, Kojeve, Claude Levi-Strauss
There was this funny book around 400 pages. Here are some of the scenes in it: The protagonist is standing outside of this house and hears children getting beaten. He asks the landlord why the parents beat their kids and he responds, "it's the only way they get turned on". Then the next minute the man hears the parents having sex.
At the end he is killed by a woman.

How goes that book you're writing?
>>9333532
I've finished the first couple chapters, but since its supposed to be qausi-autobiographical, rooted in experiences I haven't had yet, I can't really work on it much more.
It's really coming together nicely.

I just started it, it reads like shit and doesn't make any sense.

What the hell was that book with the utopian society that pretty much unanimously sandbagged and abused some single almost feral little girl to shit?
It was their way of relieving stress like the purge on one citizen.
I thought it was the time machine.
Apparently it isnt?
