Cause they're comfy (if you have to walk a lot cause you're living on the street because your parents kicked you out, or you lost your job for being trans, its important to have have decent comfy shoes) they're usually pretty cheap (trans people are usually poor) they come in lots of sizes, and they are feminine enough to look like they belong on a girl, but masc enough so that it doesn't seem like you're some sort of hon try hard.
