hey I know you anon. you keep starting threads with this reaction image a lot. is this character trans?
>>8692163
This is my first time using this pic. I saved it from some thread
>>8692153
Iktf. i fucking hate testosterone
>Born in time to see Jazz Jennings and increasing transgender visibility in the media just we become young adults
>Not born in time to have that representation and influence when it counted back in the late 90's
Fucking Ace Ventura.
>>8693156
I forget that police chief was a trans woman.
>Ace Ventura uses a plunger to his face, then burns his clothes while taking a cold shower after learning she was a man.
>>8693176
Yeah. It's a real family-friendly comedy, isn't it? It came out in 1994 and seeing trans people represented that way probably fucked a lot of people up.
I count my blessings since I was born in '95. I am so worried for people who were born before me in that 1985-1994 gap. It's the right combination of trans acceptance and trans hatred to make them feel that it's their fault they didn't transition.
>>8693254
What was your experience with coming to terms with yourself, as someone from '95? When did you transition?
>>8693270
I posted it before and honestly cbf posting it again so here's a pic of da last egg thread.
I have a MtF friend who was born in 92' so I'm acutely aware of how much it must pain her to see people transition before age 25. I wonder if hons feel that same pain. I know I do when I look at a friend of mine who is 18 and self-med at 17.
It's crappy all around but none of this is anyone's fault. There have been such leaps in trans acceptance since the 90's that by the time any trans person hits their 40's or 50's we'll probably we where gays are now.
>>8693299
I was born in 1993, in POLAND, and started hrt late-that is, when I was 19
your friend transitioning at 25 has no excuse
>>8693311
Yeah, comments like this are why I worry about them.
>>8693311
26yo polish here as well, but I started 7 years later than you. Kill me
>>8693156
Don't blame the movies. The real culprit is closer to home.
You weren't going to be happy anyway. Stop lying to yourself
>>8693645
Why do you say that?
>>8693156
If you associated with any of that media, then that's probably just what you are. I'm not sure how you could looked at anything like that and South Park and figured that it was just some man doing something unrelated to what and who you are.

t. late transitioning hon
>>8694491
Well, that's not because I deeply identified with men-in-wigs as a child like that person did.
>>8694517
But you transitioned later than most on this board
>>8695215
what is the average of transition here?
>>8695221
~21 I would say
Most transition at 18 or 19, but a good amount don't transition until their mid 20s or later, dragging the average age up.
>>8695272
I am 21 though.
18-21 is generally the age when people who were forced until independency to transition start transition.
>>8698675

Really? Those depictions are greatly dissociate from reality, and include nothing about actual gender dysphoria (nor do they really explain how transition works, making it seem like it's not even a real thing). It's played as a joke, and furthermore the joke is basically that it's disgusting, and therefore a trans person watching it would be disinclined to associate with it even if they did feel something.
"I feel like I'm a girl inside and wish I were female and am cripplingly depressed because I can't be" and "I'm going to live as a successful male football player for 30 years, then disguise myself as a woman for some convoluted revenge scheme" are only superficially similar.

For me, it was only one year
1 Verily, verily I say onto you, He that entreth not by the doore into the sheepefold, but climeth up some other way, the same is a theefe, and a robber.
2 But hee that entreth in by the doore, is the shepherd of the sheepe.
3 To him the porter openeth, and the sheepe heare his voyce, and he calleth his owne sheepe by name, and leadeth them out.
4 And when he putteth foorth his owne sheepe, he goeth before them, and the sheepe follow him: for they know his voyce.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him, for they know not the voyce of strangers.
6 This parable spake Jesus onto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake onto them.
7 Then said Jesus onto them againe, Verily, verily I say onto you, I am the doore of the sheepe.

tfw i opted in to do HRT "legitimately" early into my 17th year, and was subjected to a year of hardcore gatekeeping and am now forced to self med at 18. the one year would have made such a difference but the honwashed therapists said it didn't matter when you started
>it didn't matter when you started
