It definitely is. You can see it recently, with the rise of TV show with gay sex scenes and same sex couples.

A lot of people I know went from "eww fags to, I can't even look without puking" to "I don't enjoy it (as the gay sex), but at worst, it does nothing to me or I may even think it's a good romance".
