The LGBT club will probably be full of fat SJWs and drama. If your school is generally liberal you won't need to join the club to meet other gay people.

Decent girls are indeed a limited commodity. They'll be most available freshman and junior year. Junior year because that's when most students go abroad so you'll see lots of couples break up.

If you're going to date around instead of getting a gf, only date one girl from your school (or at least per program) at a time. Keep the girls as socially separated as possible. This is much easier to do in a big city with many colleges.

Girls are looking for gfs freshman year because for most of them this is their first time being out. This is your best chance to get them non-jaded and with a clean slate.

Bi girls are generally easier to hook up with but harder to keep. Pretty much all the hot ones will be in a LTR with a dude by the time you graduate.

Join clubs that interest you so you'll have a common topic with any girl you meet there. It'll take away the "how do I say hi" fear.
