Plain and simple because you're legally forced to, otherwise you don't have to.

So I acknowledge that men are bigger, stronger and faster than women. But I like to pretend that women are just as intelligent. I just wish women would do better at IQ tests or at mental competitions like chess. And I hate when trans women come through and crush cis women at everything from ufc to StarCraft. Its so much easier to pretend we are equal when we are not competing against each other.

I'll be honest, it sounds like you're basing this off of your own personal experiences.

I know female engineers that are smarter than me, one of my friends (a cis girl) knows how to solder, goes to robotics competitions, etc..

One thing you have to know here is that you're looking at this on an average. That's misleading.

If you look at a pure average, you'll get a faux gender wage gap. If a person applies for a janitorial position, it won't make a difference depending on whats in their pants. If a woman is an employee, and a man is an employee who is more likely to get promoted and eventually gets paid more but you still compare the two like they're equal, there's a "disparity".

Oh, and, if you look at female pornstars, they're paid more than male ones.

I mean, there's the argument that male and female brains "think" differently... now, that might be so to some extent, but psychologists are hardly in unanimous agreement over anything. There are way too many variables to 'solve' something as complex as the human brain's wiring even today (and hopefully we never 'fully' figure it out) but, even so, what's different from me saying I think differently from you?

there are other variables that affect the brain other than sex. like aspergers, bipolar, even depression can be seen to affect the physiological state of the brain! The problem I see with these generalizations is that they're just that. Generalizations, you might be wrong, you might be right.

Regardless of if you agree with what I've said or not, I'd suggest you work to meet new people and work to challenge your beliefs, if this isn't a troll post, then I hope you 'really' answer this question.
