i used to think it was possible someone could possibly be female-to-neuter or male-to-neuter because a good friend of mine has that experience, but have since concluded it's pseudotranssexualism rather than transsexualism itself and probably shouldn't be treated with transition due to the lack of a true third category for either sex or gender (no, hijra/kathoey/etc are not third categories, they are ordinary trans people in social contexts where medical transition wasn't yet invented)

As someone who used to completely dismiss the idea of "extra" genders I've now come to realize it was due to my own insecurities over being transgender. Now I don't care if people want to identify as whatever they want or don't feel like they truly fit into the two genders neatly because I can understand that feeling a little. I consider myself a guy completely and that makes perfect sense to me and it annoys me when other people don't get that, and I don't want to be that debbie downer telling someone that the way they experience gender is wrong. I think there's some trans people who don't fit into male or female identify and they still experience dysphoria which sucks and I understand that.
