Of course this becomes extra obnoxious because virtually everything he says is always wrong, but it would be grating either way. (You can even notice this in real life, it's a huge problem for American liberals that even when they're unambiguously right about something, like welfare for the poor (even if you dislike it on moral grounds it costs less money than it saves in reduced crime), they opt to convey it in an academized obey-you-peasants-you-have-no-choice tone which makes regular people abandon them, even the proposed beneficiaries of their policies.)

The funny thing is im actually trans, and I did experience a loss of agency in regards to reduced physical strength at puberty, and that did fuck me up cause when boys harrassed me or whatever pre-puberty I'd just hit them or get in a fight, but post puberty i was weaker than pretty much most guys and it made me feel pretty unsafe. It doesn't go over the head of its intended audience, that is, Tumblr users. The main problem is that the author seems to have a poor since of comedic timing, and tends to leave the punchlines overly vague, which means you need to know a lot of background information to get them. The jokes are sometimes kind of funny, but mostly fall flat. But rest assured, this is parodic comic, its just not a mean one or a particularly funny one. Trying to take it out of the context of tumblr sociologially-feminism crowd is silly though, because it was clearly written for that demographic.

In reality, very few trans people will attempt to use the bathroom of their gender without trying really hard to pass.
Though some go through an awkward androgynous phase when they look neither like a man nor like a woman, and the choice of bathroom might get confusing during that period, since they might get weird looks in both bathrooms.
I don't know if there is a new different wave in the Western trans community, but almost all trans people I know just want to quietly blend into the society as their gender without attracting attention to the fact that they're trans.
