There are numerous ways to confirm your TruTrans(tm)™ status. First and obvious one is to have a XXY karyotype. The second one which is normally associated with low sperm count and less body masculinization is CAG repeat length in the Androgen Receptor. Third one is to have 5-alpha reductase deficiency (DHT synthesis is impaired).

If you find out that you are XY (not even 46-XX/XY mosaic karyotype) and your genes show propensity for a normal sperm count then you are not Trutrans™ and shouldn't even bother transitioning tbqh.

You can ask her to provide proof that the test exists or explain how it's supposed to work. Hopefully you'd hope she won't be offended by the fact that you're not believing her without evidence (which she really shouldn't be).

If nothing else, if such a test existed it would be well known and there wouldn't be a need for any sort of subjective diagnosis. You would not have to be diagnosed by a psychologist. You'd get a test, and if the result was positive then you'd be prescribed HRT, and if it were negative then you wouldn't be prescribed HRT.
