>tfw I said the same things about other characters on /co/ before /lgbt/ even existed

Do you have a role model /t/? Have you already emulated them in some way or do you plan to in the future?
>>
>>7437593
I was literally considering making a similar thread. I'd love to hear what fictional or RL men/women other trannies consider role models.

I'll start with one of mine.
I always liked the way she balanced being tough and feminine, confident and casual. Love her style. And the fact that she's comfortable with her body and having sex.
I've been growing my hair out for the past three years, and it's nearly at my waist.

Shifting gears here. I like that Raven reads a lot and mostly stays quiet, things I do from time to time. I still want to get a cloak like hers custom-made, out of some kind of soft blankety fabric.

It's easy to get yourself down if you think nothing will ever get better and you've chosen a baseline for satisfaction that's beyond your reach.
I don't know how much Susie's personality interests you but I think you could find some solid coping strategies there.
Susie also feels misunderstood and alienated from other people. She also feels great despair, yet she's also able to appreciate the beauty of it.

Care to share what you like about the character and what steps you've taken to emulate them?
>>
>>7438226
He's extremely confident and smart, manipulative and mischievous.
Does things mostly for fun and likes teasing people.
I sort of see myself in the character but more like a perfect version of what I want to achieve.
I've been idolizing him for almost 8 years, even before I realized what I was. Also yeah he's not a girl or a transgirl, just a crossdresser.

About emulating him, mostly his personality traits so far, but I already gotten my hair exactly like him.
Everything else is just general trans stuff you know, trying to look as good as him.

This is mine. She's the woman I want to be in personality, demeanor, looks, everything. Obviously I am my own flawed person so I'll never quite be at the level of a fictional character but it gives me something to look up to. I never had anyone to look up to.

I've used her as my voice training model as well, and even though my voice passes it's still too high and I wish I could lower it more to sound more like she does.

Also her marriage is one of the few examples of a healthy one in media.

I guess Korra would be mine at one point. She's passionate and we both do martial arts, and we both like girls, apparently. She allows herself to be strong and feminine at the same time.

Right now I'm feeling more like embracing witchy characters, though I haven't seen one character that hits all the spots yet. I want her to be calm and cool, powerful but humble; probably silly at times, always gives her best. She should be like the girl with knowledge on obscure stuff, but it doesn't come up unless it's necessary. Kind of nature-goth combined.

This other time I was watching Kiki's Delivery System and the girl that drew crows in the forest and befriended them... I want to be like that.
>>
Yes, my role model is a hypothetical female version of myself. Don't know wtf y'all are doing trying to model yourselves after cartoon characters. I guess Nick Cave, Lou Reed, and Thurston Moore are also role models for me but that's because I'm a musician and I like their music/style, not because I actively want to be them.

>Stupidly idealistic tranny who works with AI

I like how optimistic they are about humanity. It's something I've always tried to emulate and I think it's an important attitude to try to hold on to when you're trans and you see the worst sides of people on a fairly regular basis.

And on a somewhat funny note, I grew up to be a stupidly idealistic tranny who works with AI.

Yes but I think it is super creepy because she's a real person and having some internet rando go "I wanna be you" is probably unpleasant.

She's a super cool programmer lady.

None of you will be convincing trannies and most tranny chasers wont even homosex you, that leaves the creepy fat dudes to play pretend with you and your family.

No white picket fences, 2 children and a nice husband you can gay marry for you.

I'm kind of surprised that no-one has mentioned one of my all-time favourites yet.

Disney's version of Mulan is probably the most trans compatible character I've ever seen. Through a sense of duty she pretends to be a man and shows all the strength required of her. But in the end she is still herself and still has the courage to reveal her true identity even with the threat of execution.
>>
>>7440202
You would kill to be with a hot tranny m8, the fact that most of them are ugly doesn't change that. If you're a /pol/tard who has time to troll this board, I guarantee you're not Chad Thundercock yourself.
>>
>>7440215
especially because it wasn't one of those "woman joins man dominated field and is better then everyone else" type deals, she has to work to be physically fit along with everyone else and ends up pulling ahead through intelligence, which isn't gender specific.

from what ive seen her life is pretty awful though
>>
>>7440569
That it's okay to want to emulate a fictional character, even if not everyone really "gets" it or thinks it's a good idea.
And be your own judge of who Creepy Susie is and what she's about, because those will be all the little qualities you really want to give yourself when you think you want to be like her.
Try to learn things you think she knows and do things you think she would do.
Like, read up on classic goth literature or barbaric medical practices from the Middle Ages. The science of the many ways a person can die. Whatever you think she'd be into. Shop for the perfect black dress or shoes, or white gloves.
Study up on how to give yourself that pale complexion. Learn French.
Just trying to do that kind of stuff could help you feel closer to the character, and better about yourself, and turn it into a process of person growth and self-improvement that's not dependent on the approval of others or despairing what distinguishes you from your idol.
